Speaking at the festival, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that the festival is a sophisticated combination of culinary arts and performances, bringing a rich and vivid experience of Australian culture, contributing to deepening mutual understanding between the two countries. The festival is not only a lively bridge connecting the people of Ho Chi Minh City and Australia, but also a valuable opportunity for the business communities of the two countries to meet, share ideas and explore potential cooperative relationships in the future.
In an effort to strengthen the connection between the two sides and open up new directions for cooperation, comrade Nguyen Van Dung said that Ho Chi Minh City will organize a series of trade, investment and cultural promotion activities in Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin, Australia next May.
Comrade Nguyen Van Dung sent his sincere thanks to the organizers, chefs, artists... and especially the Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Sarah Hooper, who led and devoted herself to making this event a success.

Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Sarah Hooper shared that, in the context of the two countries officially upgrading their bilateral relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), the festival is a celebration of the friendship between Australia and Vietnam - an increasingly strong and comprehensive relationship, a clear demonstration of the spirit of cooperation through cuisine, education, culture and people-to-people connections.

Australia is proud of its diverse cuisine, reflecting its multicultural identity and high standards of quality. When combining the creative spirit of Vietnamese cuisine with premium Australian ingredients, a whole new and inspiring world of flavors is created. Ms. Sarah Hooper expressed her sincere thanks to the Ho Chi Minh City government, representatives of the city’s departments, agencies, individuals, sponsors and organizations who have spread the Taste of Australia story, contributing to making the relationship between the two countries more vibrant than ever.
