95 years ago, on March 28, 1930, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee was established and 50 years ago, on March 24, 1975, Quang Nam Province was liberated, marking a brilliant milestone in the history of the nation's struggle for independence and freedom; contributing significantly to opening a new era, an era of unity, peace, independence, autonomy and socialism.

That is the proud achievement of the army and people of Quang Nam after years of arduous, resilient and indomitable struggle under the wise leadership of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

After the war, Quang Nam was a province lacking in every aspect, people's lives were extremely difficult.

But with the desire to rise up, the spirit of solidarity, with courage and creativity, the army and people of Quang Nam gradually overcame the consequences of war, boosted production, and constantly made efforts to develop the economy.

Accordingly, Quang Nam gradually improves people's lives, builds an innovative economy, develops sustainably while promoting traditional cultural values.

Up to now, after 50 years of construction and development, Quang Nam has been growing strongly, affirming its position as an industrial, tourism and service province.

From a locality dependent on central subsidies, after 20 years of re-establishment, by 2017, Quang Nam had risen up, self-balanced its budget and contributed to the central budget.

Quang Nam province's GRDP index increased by an average of 8.7%/year.

The economy has grown rapidly over the years, with the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increasing by an average of nearly 8.7% per year in the period 1997-2025; the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, with the proportion of industry - construction and services accounting for 68.3%.

Accordingly, the economic scale of Quang Nam province exceeded 147 trillion VND, 50 times higher than the year the province was re-established; GRDP per capita reached 95 million VND, an increase of 52 times; exports were over 2.1 billion USD, an increase of over 140 times; accumulated to date, there are 207 valid foreign direct investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly 6.3 billion USD; there are more than 8,600 domestic enterprises in operation.
