Vocational training associated with stable employment for the poor

Implementing Resolution No. 16-NQ/TU dated August 31, 2021 of the Standing Committee of Son La Provincial Party Committee on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Son La province, period 2021-2025, orientation to 2030, Muong La district has synchronously deployed solutions and achieved many positive results, the material and spiritual life of the people is improving day by day.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tam, Vice Chairman of Muong La District People's Committee, said that in 3 years, the district has solved the housing shortage for 36 households with a total amount of 1 billion 440 million VND; supported scattered domestic water for 223 households with an amount of 618 million VND; invested in supporting 7 centralized domestic water projects for more than 350 beneficiary households with an amount of over 12 billion VND; arranged stable settlements for residents in flood-hit areas with flash floods at 2 locations in It village, Nam Pam commune and Pa Hat village, Pi Toong commune, with a total investment of 21.3 billion VND. Prioritizing the construction and upgrading of traffic routes, electricity systems, clean water and social welfare works such as schools, medical stations, creating favorable conditions for production and improving the quality of life of the people.

To effectively implement ethnic policies, Muong La district will focus resources on investing in developing socio-economic infrastructure for ethnic minority areas with small populations, paying attention to investing in solid roads, irrigation works, schools, and cultural houses; families can use the national grid, radio, television, telecommunications services, and access to information technology to serve production and daily life needs. The district has implemented 62 projects with a total investment of over 191 billion VND.
