Quang Ninh: Convergence of intangible heritage at Ha Long Carnival 2025

"For the first time, Ha Long Carnival is not only the pride of Quang Ninh but also becomes a place where intangible heritages from all three regions converge, honoring national identity on the background of world natural wonders. Each performance, each festival color is a heritage story, creating "heritage within heritage". This is one of the new features of this year's Ha Long Carnival program", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee shared at the regular press conference on the afternoon of April 10.

Providing more information about the program, Mr. Son said: This year's Ha Long Carnival will return with a parade that reflects the true spirit and essence of Carnival. Visitors will directly participate in the parade, immerse themselves in the largest open stage in Quang Ninh, immerse themselves in vibrant DJ melodies and emotional art performances... The program will end with a spectacular high-altitude fireworks display lasting 15 minutes.

Ha Long Carnival program was held on the evening of May 1, at Sun Carnival Square and Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City).

Ha Long Carnival stage recreates the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay, combining traditional art and modern technology, depicting the intersection between culture and nature. The performances and scenes in the program are expressed in the language of contemporary art with 3D mapping, laser, light shows...

The Ha Long Carnival 2025 grandstand is designed with the largest scale ever, accommodating 15,000 seats to serve the people and tourists.

Also during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Ha Long City organizes a series of attractive activities and events such as: Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival (from April 29 - 30); Dragon and Lion Dance Festival (from April 30 - May 3); Ha Long Beer and Squid Festival (from April 30 - May 3) and sports competitions...

Up to now, the People's Committee of Ha Long City is urgently preparing facilities, organizing training, ensuring the schedule for events and activities in the area during the April 30 - May 1 holidays, especially the Ha Long Carnival 2025. The work of ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, food safety and hygiene, disease prevention, urban beautification, and management of the tourism business environment is being actively implemented by the city and departments, branches and sectors.

With careful preparation in both content and organization, the series of cultural, sports and tourism activities during the April 30 - May 1 holiday promises to create a special attraction for people and tourists, starting the explosive 2025 summer tourist season in the tourism capital of Ha Long.
