Tottenham's defeat in the early game was an opportunity for Arsenal to move ahead. In round 12 of the Premier League, coach Mikel Arteta's team faced Burnley - the team ranked second from the bottom - at home. The away team tried very hard to defend but with superior strength, Arsenal still won 3 points convincingly.

As usual, Arsenal dominated possession of the ball compared to their opponents. However, against Burnley's deep and focused defense, the home team did not create many chances.

The Emirates fans had to wait until the end of the first half to see a goal. Bukayo Saka set up Leandro Trossard for the opener. The moment marked the 1,000th goal at the Emirates.

The game remained unchanged after the break. Arsenal continued to dominate and gradually increased their attack. The away team's defense faced greater pressure from their opponents.

The surprise happened at the beginning of the second half when Josh Brownhill took advantage of a moment of carelessness from Arsenal's defense to score an equalizer. However, the Emirates team regained the lead just 3 minutes later.

Set pieces continue to be a formidable weapon for Arsenal. Coach Arteta's players took the lead with two goals, both from corner kicks. William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko were the players who scored.

Despite leading by 2 goals in a favorable match, Arsenal could not comfortably maintain the score until the end of the match. In the last 20 minutes including extra time, the home team fell into a disadvantage in terms of numbers when Fabio Vieira received a direct red card. At one point, Arsenal even had only 9 players on the field when Jorginho was injured.

The home team retreated their entire squad to defend. Even the strikers who came on in the second half were on standby near the home team's penalty area. Burnley's attacks were ineffective and Arsenal held on for the three points.

Result: Arsenal 3-1 Burnley
