Thousands of students are worried as Dak Lak temporarily suspends driving license testing in October.

On October 15, Mr. Le Dinh Minh, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Department of Transport, said that the remaining driving license exams in October have been temporarily suspended. The driving license exams in October will be arranged in the following months of 2024.

Dak Lak also temporarily stopped receiving administrative procedures related to the issuance and change of motorcycle driving licenses from paper to PET, separating driving licenses, and car driving licenses with a validity of more than 2 months.

The suspension of driving license exams and license renewals is due to a shortage of blanks.

According to the Dak Lak Department of Transport, there are currently only about 6,000 driving license blanks left, not enough to issue, renew, or reissue according to people's needs. Therefore, this department reserves the right to issue renewals for expired car licenses.

The suspension of the remaining driving license exams in October has caused many students to worry and training and testing units to face difficulties.

Thousands of students were affected when Dak Lak temporarily suspended testing.

Mr. Pham Thanh Trung, Deputy Director of the Viet Nhat Driving Training Center (Hoa Thang Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City) said that the center will have 500 students affected by the suspension of driving license testing in October. If the suspension of testing lasts until the end of 2024, the center will have about 1,300 students whose testing will be interrupted.

According to the center's leaders, the suspension of testing has made many students worried. Because everyone who finishes studying wants to take the test to get a driver's license, to serve their travel and work needs... To facilitate students, the center hopes that the professional agency will soon provide or regulate the blanks between localities to solve the above difficulties.

Mr. Le Anh Day, Deputy Director of Vinasme Tay Nguyen Vocational Education Center (Buon Ma Thuot City) said that from now until the end of 2024, there will be more than 1,600 students taking the driving test for classes B1, B2, C, D, E. The suspension of the test greatly affects the operation of the unit as well as the students. The majority of the Center's students expressed their wish to still take the test as scheduled, and the driver's license can wait until there are enough blanks to receive the license.

To facilitate and meet the people's need for driving licenses, ensure training and testing activities for issuing driving licenses in the province, the Dak Lak Department of Transport has sent a document requesting the Vietnam Road Administration to study a plan to promptly provide 20,000 additional blanks in October 2024.
