From March 1, where do Long An residents submit applications for driver's licenses?

On the morning of February 28, Long An Department of Transport held a ceremony to hand over the task of testing and issuing road motor vehicle driving licenses to the Provincial Police.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Dang Hoan Tuan, Director of Long An Department of Transport, said that after March 1, the Department will no longer perform the task of issuing and exchanging driver's licenses .

The Department continues to coordinate, guide and support units and officers of the Provincial Traffic Police to proficiently perform professional tasks, operate the management software system, receive applications for changing, re-issuing driving licenses, and issuing international driving licenses directly and online.

Long An Department of Transport transfers the task of testing and granting road motor vehicle driving licenses to the Provincial Police.

In addition, the Long An Department of Transport also encourages people with a driver's license that is still valid for a long time to continue using it and not to change it. The authorities only prioritize the option of handling administrative procedures to change the driver's license when it is about to expire.

According to Mr. Tuan, to avoid backlog of documents and ensure people's rights, from February 25 to 28, Long An Department of Transport will only accept applications for issuance, renewal and re-issuance of car driving licenses valid until March 15.

According to the Traffic Police Department of Long An Province, after March 1, people will continue to submit applications for issuance and exchange of driving licenses at the Long An Province Public Administration Center.

Also at this handover ceremony, Mr. Tuan said that in the whole province, there are 7 driving test centers including: One type 1 driving test center (testing for automatic B1, B2, C, D and E), 6 type 3 driving test centers (only testing for A1).

Long An province has 500,800 driving licenses for cars and motorbikes.
