Do not accept flowers to congratulate the opening ceremony, help people affected by storms and floods
On the same afternoon, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) also announced that it would not accept congratulatory flowers from agencies, units, and partners on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year (to take place on the morning of September 15).
"In the context that people in the North are still struggling to overcome the consequences of storms, floods, and severe natural disasters, the school will not accept flowers to congratulate the opening ceremony.
Instead, the school hopes that agencies, units, and partners will transfer the cost of giving flowers to the fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City to help people in the northern provinces respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
With all our heart and sharing, the school would like to call on all delegates, guests, officials, workers and students directly at the opening ceremony to turn towards the North with the most practical actions," the school representative shared.
