Since 2021, the Ba Phuong Chao Festival has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
This year, during the 2 days of the festival, there are activities such as: procession of the Lady's palanquin, boat racing, worshiping the spirits, releasing flower lanterns on the river, singing Bai Choi, lion dance and other folk games...

Mrs. Phuong Chao's real name is Nguyen Thi Cua, born on February 25, 1800 in Phuong Chao village, Phiem Ai district, now Khuong My village, Dai Cuong commune, Dai Loc district.
According to legend, Ba Phuong Chao was a celestial being who descended to earth. When she grew up, she practiced medicine to cure people. After 17 years on earth, she passed away. The Lady appeared in Phuong Chao land. The villagers believed in her and admired her power, so they built a temple to worship her.
After that, she appeared and established a market in Phuoc Am area, people called it Ba market or Duoc market (now in Binh Trieu commune, Thang Binh district). Ba Phuong Chao was awarded the title of deity by the Nguyen Dynasty twice.

To show gratitude for the merits of Mrs. Phuong Chao, every year in Quang Nam province, there are 2 traditional festivals. In Phuoc Am village, Binh Trieu commune, Thang Binh district, there is the Ba Cho Duoc palanquin procession festival which takes place on the 11th day of the first lunar month (this festival has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2014). In her hometown of Phuong Chao village, now Khuong My village, Dai Cuong commune, on her birthday (February 25th of the lunar calendar), there is a Ba Phuong Chao festival with many exciting activities.
In 2023, at Go Muong (Nghia Hiep area, Ai Nghia town, Dai Loc), Ai Nghia town People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the Decision and receive the Certificate of ranking as a provincial historical relic for the palace and tomb of Ba Phuong Chao.
