DNO - On the morning of January 9, the City People's Committee held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang and Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh chaired the conference.
Also attending the conference were Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung and Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee and People's Council.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang acknowledged and commended the City People's Committee and the collectives and individuals of departments, branches and localities for their great efforts to complete the tasks and targets of 2024; especially the units participating in the work of advising on the development of resolutions of the National Assembly, as well as those related to site clearance and budget collection.
Regarding the tasks for 2025, the Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized two main points, including the requirement to change awareness and enhance the sense of responsibility of the entire political system to maximize potential and successfully implement the city's development goals; at the same time, it is important not to be subjective and to be aware of one's position and role in the region and the country.

Da Nang needs to maximize the advantages, potentials and opportunities that the Central Government is giving to the city. The Central Government has high expectations and cares about Da Nang city; demonstrated through the issuance of many specific mechanisms and policies for the city.
The concretization and successful implementation of those expectations is the responsibility of Da Nang. Therefore, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested to change the awareness, leadership methods, direction and implementation organization to successfully complete the set goals and tasks.
At the same time, it is recommended that the Department of Home Affairs accelerate the work of streamlining the apparatus to be effective, efficient and efficient; and improve the effectiveness of administrative reform.
According to the report of the City People's Committee, in 2024, the city's socio-economic growth will be quite good, with many targets reaching and exceeding the set plan.
Gross regional domestic product (GRDP, 2010 comparative price) is estimated to increase by 7.51% compared to 2023, ranking 2nd in the group of 5 centrally-run cities, 3rd in the Central key economic region and 29th out of 63 provinces and cities.
The economic scale (current price) is estimated at 151,300 billion VND, an expansion of more than 17,000 billion VND compared to 2023. Total state budget revenue in the area in 2024 is estimated at more than 27,000 billion VND.
Regarding the implementation and disbursement of the public investment capital plan, as of December 31, 2024, it reached VND 6,815 billion, reaching 93.5% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, higher than the same period in 2023 (82.5%). Strive to achieve 100% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 82% of the plan assigned by the City People's Council by January 31, 2025.
The city has focused on promoting domestic and foreign investment attraction; of which 19 new domestic projects have been licensed with an investment capital of over VND75,000 billion, an increase of over 35%. To date, 383 projects have been licensed with a total investment capital of nearly VND272,000 billion.
Regarding foreign direct investment (FDI), it reached more than 243 million USD, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2023; of which 71 new projects were granted with a total registered investment capital of more than 233 million USD. To date, the city has attracted 1,021 projects with a total investment capital of more than 4.573 billion USD.

Regarding social fields, the City People's Committee has directed departments, branches, sectors and localities to focus on solving well issues of social security, order and security, social safety...
The city has solved employment at over 100% of the plan, the number of poor households with working capacity according to the city's standards escaping poverty at over 100% of the plan... National defense, security and order are ensured, no hot spots occur; traffic safety and order are maintained, no serious or prolonged traffic jams occur.
In 2025, the city aims to effectively implement solutions for socio-economic growth with the theme "Year of focusing on streamlining the apparatus associated with cutting administrative procedures, effectively implementing urban government organization and specific mechanisms and policies to strongly promote economic growth" associated with a number of important socio-economic indicators: total social product (GRDP, 2010 comparative price) strives to grow by 10%; total state budget revenue increases by 10%, of which domestic revenue increases by 15% and total development investment capital increases by 12.5 -13%.
To achieve the above targets, based on the directive documents of the City Party Committee, the People's Council and the City People's Committee have developed documents to deploy and assign specific tasks to departments, branches and sectors on assigning targets for socio-economic development plans, national defense and security and state budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025; the 2025 work program of the City People's Committee (with 136 tasks and 63 contents expected to be presented at regular City People's Council meetings in 2025).
On that basis, the City People's Committee requests directors of departments, branches, and chairmen of district and commune People's Committees to directly direct and take responsibility for organizing and implementing the tasks of their units.
Accordingly, develop and issue a plan to implement each specific task, clearly defining the specific roadmap, timeline and quantifying the targets, work to be performed, and responsibilities of each unit and individual in the implementation.
Periodically conduct monthly self-reviews and assessments of implementation progress according to the issued plan; promptly report and propose to the leaders of the City People's Committee in charge to direct the handling and removal of difficulties and problems beyond their authority arising during the implementation process.
Through the comments and discussions at the conference, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh suggested that in 2025, departments, branches and sectors need to focus on effectively implementing Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city, especially submitting to the Prime Minister for issuance of a decision to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.

The city proactively coordinates with central ministries and branches to advise on the development of mechanisms and policies for international and regional financial centers in Vietnam; attracts investment in developing infrastructure for the city's financial center.
