Online contest "Raising awareness of preventing post-war bomb and mine accidents in Vietnam"

Pursuant to Plan No. 172/KH-VNMAC, dated February 13, 2025 of VNMAC approved by the Head of the Ministry of National Defense - Head of the Standing Office of Steering Committee 701 in Official Dispatch No. 1838/VP-TH, dated March 4, 2025. The Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC) organized an online contest "Raising awareness of post-war mine and explosive ordnance accident prevention in Vietnam".

Competition purpose: Continue to promote propaganda work, raise awareness of post-war bomb and mine accident prevention in Vietnam to all classes of people nationwide.

Actively and proactively promoting the effectiveness of communication work on mass media, the online contest "Raising awareness of post-war mine and explosive hazards prevention in Vietnam" is a practical activity in response to the World Mine Awareness Day and Mine Action Day on April 4; towards a Vietnam that is no longer affected by post-war mines and explosives, serving the task of socio-economic development of the country.

Candidates: Vietnamese citizens who know how to use computers and other smart electronic devices to take the online test (hereinafter referred to as candidates), except for officers, civil servants, and employees of Office 701, the Vietnam National Mine Action Center, and domestic and foreign organizations operating in the field of overcoming the consequences of post-war bombs and mines in Vietnam.

Form and method of participation: Online exam on the Vietnam National Mine Action Center website at http://vnmac.gov.vn/ .

Candidates watch the video clip and then answer multiple choice questions on a computer or other electronic device with internet connection (tablet, smartphone) according to the pre-designed question set software.

Each candidate can take the exam multiple times, however only one (01) most correct result will be recognized among the multiple entries.

The test includes: Multiple choice questions.

Time limit: 15 minutes.

To participate in the exam, candidates follow these steps:

Step 1: Access the Vietnam National Mine Action Center website at http://vnmac.gov.vn/ .

Step 2: Click on the contest banner. Or access the link: http://cuocthi.vnmac.gov.vn/

Step 3: Fill in all information as instructed and click on the test button.

Step 4: Watch the Video clip content and answer the questions displayed below the Video clip and predict the number of contest participants.

Step 5: Click on the Submit test button.

After completing the test, candidates can download their test file to their computer.

Contest content

Research the questions related to recognizing and preventing post-war explosive ordnance accidents in Vietnam and then choose the correct answers to the related questions.

- Contest period: From 00:00 on April 4, 2025 to 24:00 on May 4, 2025.

- Competition summary and award ceremony (expected): Week 3 of May 2025 Competition results will be posted on the Vietnam National Mine Action Center website at http://vnmac.gov.vn/ and Fanpage: https://www.facebook.com/vnmac.gov.vn/

Structure and value of awards

- 01 First Prize: Certificate of Merit from the Organizing Committee of the competition and a cash prize worth 10 million VND;

- 02 Second prizes: Certificate of merit from the Organizing Committee of the competition and cash prize worth 5 million VND/prize;

- 03 Third prizes: Certificate of merit from the Organizing Committee of the competition and cash prize worth 3 million VND/prize;

- 10 Consolation prizes: Certificate of merit from the Organizing Committee of the competition and cash prize worth 1 million VND/prize.

Prize winning conditions: The winning contestant is the contestant who chooses the correct answer to the questions in the exam and most accurately predicts the number of contestants.

In case the number of contestants (from 02 people or more) answer the questions correctly, and predict the number of people who answer correctly, the Organizing Committee will base on the shortest total time to award the contestant. (Time is calculated from the time you start clicking on the Take the test button until you click on the Submit test button, in minutes and seconds).

The winner is responsible for providing complete and accurate personal information for the Organizing Committee to check against the entry. The Organizing Committee has the right to refuse to award the prize if the information provided by the winner does not match the information on the entry.

Announcement of results and awards: At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will summarize and award Certificates of Merit and prizes to the winners.

The contest organizers will notify the winners according to the information provided by the contestants on their entries (email, phone number).

Competition Summary and Award Ceremony Time (expected): Week 4 of May 2025.

Vietnam National Mine Action Center: is the standing agency organizing; developing plans, sets of questions, and rules; organizing the launching and implementation of propaganda work, summarizing and awarding prizes; ensuring financial conditions for the competition and its organization and implementation.

Domestic and foreign agencies and organizations participating in post-war bomb and mine clearance and chemical toxic waste removal activities in Vietnam: coordinate to post the Contest Rules, place e-banners on the website, and widely promote the contest on the unit's information portals.
