Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company - SAGS has just announced the results of the conciliation with Bamboo Airways after the lawsuit over a service provision contract worth 68.5 billion VND.

Accordingly, Bamboo Airways commits to paying the entire debt, including interest, in three installments from 2024 to 2028.
At the same time, the company will pay 1.5 billion VND in mediation costs according to the decision of the People's Court of Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. This agreement is considered a step forward in resolving the disagreement between the two parties.
As of November 12, Bamboo Airways still owes SAGS a total of 68.5 billion VND.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , representatives of the two businesses said they are continuing to coordinate with each other to pay and collect the debt and have no further comments.
The cessation of cooperation with SAGS from January 1, 2024 has marked a change in Bamboo Airways' strategy, as the airline switched to cooperating with Pacific Airlines to provide ground services such as passenger transportation, baggage handling and aircraft towing at major airports.
SAGS representative affirmed that the suspension of cooperation with Bamboo Airways will not significantly affect business operations, because the airline's flights only account for a small proportion of the company's total revenue.
SAGS is a ground service company, serving 50 international airlines and is currently serving domestic airlines Vietjet, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines.
In addition to SAGS, in the ground service industry there are also Viags Company (of Vietnam Airlines), HGS, AGS, Vietjet, Pacific Airlines...
Meanwhile, Bamboo Airways is in the process of restructuring to overcome major difficulties, including rising fuel costs, weak domestic market demand and a shortage of aircraft.
Despite financial pressure, Bamboo Airways has shown signs of recovery. The airline has resumed flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Thailand, marking the first step in its plan to restore its international network.
