On the evening of January 11, the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group Trade Union organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of Thanks to the Party" in 2025 for workers at Suoi Tre Cultural Center (Dong Nai province).
At the program, the industry union presented gifts to 380 union members and workers in difficult circumstances working at units in Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Hoa Binh provinces.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Mui, Vice President of the Rubber Trade Union, said that the Tet Sum Vay program is an annual activity of the group to bring a full and warm Tet to workers. The special highlight of this year is that for the first time, the program is organized specifically for workers who are ethnic minorities.
According to Mr. Mui, of the group's total of more than 81,500 employees, more than 20,500 are ethnic minorities, 21,600 are Lao and Cambodian. In the Eastern region alone, ethnic minority employees account for 12.46%, equivalent to 3,553 people.
“The contributions of ethnic minority workers have played a huge role in the overall development of the group,” Mr. Mui emphasized.

Besides, according to Mr. Mui, the program is also an opportunity to express gratitude and recognize the tireless efforts of employees, helping the group complete production and business targets and sustainable development strategies.
According to the report, in 2024, Vietnam Rubber Industry Group achieved consolidated revenue of VND 26,307 billion, exceeding the plan by 5.23%, pre-tax profit reached VND 4,450 billion, exceeding the plan by 8.43% and paid to the state budget VND 6,100 billion.
Entering 2025, the Group and the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union are determined to complete and exceed the planned targets, continuing to promote the green growth strategy and sustainable development on three pillars: economy, environment and society.

Within the framework of the program, the group also awarded 688 zero-fare bus tickets with a total value of 1.453 billion VND to 688 workers to return home for Tet.
In addition to receiving Tet gifts, workers attending the festival can also enjoy performances, play folk games, experience 12 free food stalls, and participate in a lucky draw with the highest prize being a Wave motorbike.
According to the organizers, the total number of prizes in the program is 123, with a total prize value of nearly 210 million VND. The prizes are practical gifts such as Samsung TVs, Philip air fryers, backup batteries, etc.
