(kontumtv.vn) – Recently, to ensure transparency, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has posted and initially announced 12,028 pages of statements of the list and the amount of money that organizations and individuals donated to support people affected by storm No. 3 in Vietcombank's bank accounts from September 1 to 10, 2024, attracting great attention from the whole society and receiving the consensus of the majority of people.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in recent days, many agencies, enterprises, organizations, groups and individuals at home and abroad have proactively contacted to support people suffering from damage in storm and flood-hit areas through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Many agencies and units from central to local levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, and member organizations of the Front have simultaneously launched, called for, and spread the spirit of "mutual love and support", "the rich help the poor", and called on all classes of people, union members, and association members to practically participate in support.

As of 5:00 p.m. on September 13, 2024, organizations and individuals have transferred 775.5 billion VND to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee's account to support people affected by storm No. 3.

From the amount received, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has decided to allocate and complete the procedures to transfer the first batch of VND 388.5 billion to the Local Relief Committees. Currently, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee is continuing to review the remaining funds to allocate as soon as possible to localities with areas damaged by storms and floods.

Mr. Cao Xuan Thao, Head of the Movement Committee (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) affirmed that every material and spiritual contribution, no matter how small, from groups and individuals with a heart towards compatriots in difficulty is very valuable.

"The support of groups and individuals is very selfless and pure, showing "comradely love and fellow countrymen's solidarity," said Mr. Cao Xuan Thao.

Sharing about the fact that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has initially publicized the bank account statements receiving donations from organizations and individuals on the mass media, Mr. Cao Xuan Thao said that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front wishes to create conditions for organizations and individuals who have donated and registered to donate to see the openness and transparency in receiving and using the funds; feel secure when their contributions have been sent to the correct address and the donated resources are used for the right purpose, reaching the right subjects, which are the people who have suffered losses.

“A very valuable thing is that in the past few days, millions of personal accounts have proactively transferred money to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee’s account. Some individuals donated 50,000 VND, some donated 100,000 VND, and some accounts donated hundreds of millions of VND. Some people did not proactively announce their names but silently donated. These are all very valuable gestures,” Mr. Cao Xuan Thao shared.

In gratitude for the support and affection of the people nationwide for the people in the localities affected by natural disasters and floods, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is focusing on organizing the reception of support resources and promptly completing procedures to transfer money to the Relief Committees of the affected localities, in order to promptly deploy relief work. In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will always welcome individuals and organizations to support on weekdays, without days off.

The Central Relief Mobilization Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is continuing to update and in the coming time will continue to publish the list of transfers through banks and direct cash support from units, organizations and individuals at the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on mass media for people to participate in monitoring and supervision.
