On the morning of November 1, the Dong Trieu City Party Committee solemnly held a conference to announce the Provincial Party Committee's Decision on the establishment of the Dong Trieu City Party Committee and the Dong Trieu City Party Committee's Decision on the establishment of the Duc Chinh Ward Party Committee, the Viet Dan Commune Party Committee, the Party Committees of 4 communes upgraded to wards, the People's Court Party Cell, and the People's Procuracy Party Cell. Attending the conference were comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Duc Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Bui Thuy Phuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board.
At the conference, Comrade Bui Thuy Phuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, announced the Provincial Party Committee's Decision on establishing the Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of the entire Dong Trieu Town Party Committee, including 48 branches, grassroots party committees and party members of the Dong Trieu Town Party Committee. Within 30 days from the date of issuance of the decision, the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Dong Trieu City Party Committee will complete and rename specialized agencies to advise and assist the City Party Committee, Party committees at all levels, and grassroots party organizations according to their authority and other tasks as prescribed. The Dong Trieu City Party Committee will officially come into operation from November 1, 2024.
Also at the conference, the leaders of Dong Trieu City presented the decisions of the Dong Trieu City Party Committee Executive Committee on: Establishing the Duc Chinh Ward Party Committee under the Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of merging the Dong Trieu Ward Party Committee with the Duc Chinh Ward Party Committee. The Duc Chinh Ward Party Committee consists of 23 subordinate Party cells with 739 Party members.
Establishment of Viet Dan Commune Party Committee under Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of merging Viet Dan Commune Party Committee with Tan Viet Commune Party Committee. Viet Dan Commune Party Committee consists of 23 subordinate Party cells with 391 Party members.
Establishment of Binh Duong Ward Party Committee under Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of Binh Duong Commune Party Committee. Binh Duong Ward Party Committee consists of 17 subordinate Party cells with 420 Party members.
Establishment of Thuy An Ward Party Committee under Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of Thuy An Commune Party Committee. Thuy An Ward Party Committee consists of 10 subordinate Party cells with 243 Party members.
Establishing Binh Khe Ward Party Committee under Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of Binh Khe Commune Party Committee. Binh Khe Ward Party Committee consists of 22 subordinate Party cells with 450 Party members.
Establishment of Yen Duc Ward Party Committee under Dong Trieu City Party Committee on the basis of Yen Duc Commune Party Committee. Yen Duc Ward Party Committee consists of 12 subordinate Party cells with 263 Party members.
Establish the Dong Trieu City People's Court Party Cell under the Dong Trieu City Party Committee, consisting of 17 party members, on the basis of the Dong Trieu Town People's Court Party Cell.
Establish the Party Cell of Dong Trieu City People's Procuracy under Dong Trieu City Party Committee, consisting of 15 party members, on the basis of Dong Trieu Town People's Procuracy Party Cell.
Speaking at the conference announcing the decision, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that Dong Trieu is known for its great land advantages, bearing a strong historical - cultural mark and a long-standing revolutionary tradition, and is the place where the first Communist Party cell in Quang Ninh was established. The establishment of the Dong Trieu City Party Committee and its affiliated Party Committees is not only an important event in terms of administration but also marks a great step forward in the stature and position of Dong Trieu, from the homeland of the Tran Dynasty, the Fourth War Zone, Dong Trieu has become the 5th city of Quang Ninh province.
To ensure sustainable and long-term development, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted a number of key tasks that the City Party Committee focuses on directing. Dong Trieu City Party Committee focuses on implementing Plan No. 439-KH/TU dated July 23, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee on organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 16th Provincial Party Congress.
