In the atmosphere of the whole province, on the morning of February 13, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dong Trieu City solemnly held a ceremony to hand over and receive soldiers, sending off young people to join the army to protect the Fatherland. Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 3; Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

In 2025, Dong Trieu City will have 268 Outstanding young people from 19 communes and wards in the city have been recruited for military service and public security service. The young people recruited this time are between 18 and 27 years old; 5 have completed junior high school, 239 have completed high school, 10 have completed college, and 14 have completed university. 3 have been admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam and 90 have received training in Party awareness.

In particular, in 2025, Dong Trieu City had 9 young men volunteering to join the army and 2 families with 2 twin children volunteered to be examined and passed the examination to join the army, namely: Mr. Duong Van Lon's family, Trieu Khe area, Hong Phong ward, had 2 twin children, Duong Viet Hoang and Duong Thanh Huy; Mr. Vuong Van Tu's family, Ward 1, Duc Chinh ward, had 2 twin children, Vuong Quang Huy and Vuong Quang Hieu.

Along with the whole province, Van Don district held the 2025 military enlistment ceremony. Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and encouraged the new recruits to join the army.

In the first military enlistment of 2025, Van Don district selected and called 100 young men to join the army, of which 90 new recruits were assigned to Division 395, Military Region 3, Provincial Military Command and Provincial Border Guard; the remaining 10 new recruits participated in performing the People's Public Security service.

Thanks to the good preparation of resources, the assignment of specific plans to each locality, combined with the promotion of propaganda work, the good implementation of military rear policies, meetings and gift giving, encouragement and visits, especially to families with children joining the army in difficult circumstances ... therefore, in this selection round, Van Don district has completed 100% of the target of calling citizens to join the army. These are all excellent young people, ensuring good standards of health, cultural level, political awareness, fully meeting the requirements of military recruitment.
