New Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi was born in 1971, in Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province. She graduated from university, majoring in Literature Pedagogy.

Before holding the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Ms. Chi was a teacher at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An province (from May 1993 to June 2005), then Vice Principal of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (from June 2005 to June 2009).

From June 2009 to June 2014, she was Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training; from June 2014 to March 2019, she held the position of Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training.

She also held the positions of Secretary of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee, Nghe An Province (from March 2019 to August 2021) and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agencies of Nghe An Province (from August 2021 to January 2024).
