On the afternoon of November 25, the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police and Hoan Kiem District Police to inspect and handle violations of railway traffic order and safety in the railway coffee street area, from Tran Phu to Phung Hung.
Authorities propagate to people and tourists to strictly comply with regulations on railway traffic safety.
Before the train departed, the authorities conducted a surprise patrol and discovered many shops violating railway safety corridors.
Many shop owners were fined for their violations. They were also required to sign a commitment not to repeat the above behavior.
People cleared away tables and chairs encroaching on the railway safety corridor.
In October alone, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department handled 47 cases of violations of railway traffic safety. As a result, they imposed a fine of 17 million VND, temporarily seized 47 sets of documents, and one vehicle.
A representative of the Traffic Police Department said that the authorities have handled the matter recently, but violations of railway traffic safety corridors still occur in the area, especially in densely populated areas.
From now until the end of the year and during the Lunar New Year, the traffic police will continue to coordinate with the police of districts and towns where railways pass through to do a good job of preventing and avoiding traffic accidents, especially on the railway coffee street from Phung Hung (Ba Dinh district) to Le Duan (Hoan Kiem district).
