The most beautiful road in Di An city is waiting for 50m to connect to Ho Chi Minh City

(Dan Tri) - More than 50m of the East-West main road project that is "standing still" has just been removed by Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province to complete the entire project in the near future.
The East-West main road project started construction in March 2021 with a total investment of more than 700 billion VND. Although the project was inaugurated and put into operation on August 14, more than 50m of the end point of Tan Van intersection is still not accessible due to overlapping with the Hanoi Highway expansion project (invested by Ho Chi Minh City). Recently, in order to resolve the "bottleneck" of the project, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province had a meeting and agreed to let Binh Duong continue to construct the remaining 50m. The route is expected to be opened in December this year. Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee has assigned Di An City People's Committee to carry out the work of compensation and site clearance and implement this final section. Di An City is developing land compensation unit prices and organizing land compensation for 31 affected cases with a total area of over 13,000m2 of land to be recovered, belonging to the expanded section of Hanoi Highway. The East-West main road project has a route length of about 3km, expanded from 12m to 32m with 6 lanes, 3m sidewalk on each side. The East-West main axis is considered the most beautiful in Di An City (Binh Duong). The project starts at Highway 1K, passes through the university village belt (Ho Chi Minh City National University urban area), goes to Hanoi Highway and ends at the new Eastern bus station of Ho Chi Minh City. To date, the project has been completed and only 50m of the final section, adjacent to Hanoi Highway, remains. The completed road will not only help reduce traffic congestion on Highway 1K - 1A, but also facilitate people's travel and promote socio-economic development of Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City. In recent days, at the sidewalk area of the project, workers are completing the railing item.
According to Dan Tri reporters, items such as electrical systems, sidewalks, signs, traffic lights, trees, road markings... have been completed. People can travel on this route. "I exercise here every morning. The newly built road is spacious and clean, but I don't understand why the last section is not completed," said Nguyen Hoang Nam (26 years old, Di An). Because the project cannot connect to Hanoi Highway, some people have been forced to change direction to take a shortcut to travel to Ho Chi Minh City. It is known that the final section connecting to Hanoi Highway has a total investment of about 100 billion VND. It is expected to be completed in December and will open the entire East-West main axis, connecting from National Highway 1K to Hanoi Highway. The East-West main road, once completed, will not only create development for Di An City but also help connect traffic between the two provinces. At the same time, this could be a route to help Mien Dong Moi bus station increase the number of visitors and experience convenient services at the station.
