QCG and CII stocks turn purple, banking sector increases in price

(Dan Tri) - The stock market increased, maintaining green in today's trading session, many stocks hit the ceiling such as QCG, CII.

On February 7, the stock market recorded an increase in the index basket. VN-Index increased by 3.72 points to 1,275.2 points, HNX-Index increased by 0.36 points. The growth pillar of the market was the VN30 group with an increase of 4.21 points.

On the HoSE, there were 14 stocks hitting the ceiling, notably QCG of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai, CII of Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment... QCG stock alone has hit the ceiling several times since after Tet. Today, this stock is priced at VND12,650/unit.

Banking stocks continued to trade actively today. Of which, CTG shares of VietinBank had the highest price increase in the market at 3.29%, up to VND40,800/unit.

This stock also hit a peak in price, in the context of a sharp increase in profit in the fourth quarter of 2024 to VND 9,871 billion, the highest in history and ranked No. 1 on the banking industry's profit rankings.

Several other bank stocks such as ABB, TCB, BID, VBB also increased in price by over 1% in today's session. Of which, TCB shares broke through in trading volume with over 26.6 million units.

Market liquidity was at VND16,490 billion, up from previous sessions. Foreign investors continued to net sell more than VND1,103 billion on the HoSE, focusing on the codes MSN, MWG, VCB, DGC. On the HNX, foreign investors net bought more than VND102 billion, focusing on the codes SHS, DHT, HUT, TVC.
