Mineral stocks attract cash flow, VN-Index surpasses 1,270 points

NDO - In the trading session on February 13, investors' caution made the market quite gloomy. VN-Index recovered and maintained its upward momentum until the end of the session thanks to the support of VHM stocks and banking stocks. Notably, the mineral stocks still attracted cash flow with many stocks hitting the ceiling. At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 3.44 points to 1,270.35 points.


On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased slightly compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 10,841.46 billion.

Foreign investors net sold 233 billion VND on the HoSE. On the buying side, DPM shares were bought the most with a value of more than 44 billion VND, followed by MSN (33 billion VND), CSV (29 billion VND)... On the contrary, VNM was sold the most (67 billion VND), followed by VPB (58 billion VND), MWG (48 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks closed with 19 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 8 stocks decreasing.

Of which, GVR increased by 2.43% to VND 29,450/share, VHM increased by 1.97% to VND 38,750/share, PLX increased by 1.57%, VRE increased by 1.52%.

Codes: ACB, CTG, HDB, HPG, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, SSI, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VIC, VJC increased slightly by less than 1%.

Three codes stopped at reference, including: BID, BVH, VPB.

On the other hand, MWG decreased 2.84% to VND54,800/share, FPT decreased 1.31%.

The remaining codes: BCM, GAS, MSN, SAB, VIB, VNM decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks, except for TLH, decreased by 1.82%, the rest only fluctuated slightly. Specifically, the codes: HMC, HPG, NKG, SMC increased slightly, HSG and VCA decreased slightly.

Securities stocks fluctuated slightly and closed in light green. Besides SSI mentioned above, FTS, VCI, VIX increased slightly, HCM, TVB, TVS stopped at reference. On the contrary, ORS decreased by 1.35%, DSE decreased by 1.03%, AGR, APG, BSI, CTS, TCI, VDS, VND decreased slightly.

Banking stocks closed up 0.35%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB, MSB, NAB decreased slightly, OCB decreased 1.32%.

Real estate stocks were dominated by red, but thanks to the active trading of pillars such as VHM, VRE, VIC, the group closed up 0.69%. In addition, small and medium-sized stocks such as DIG increased by 1.64%, IJC increased by 1.39%, PDR increased by 1.07%, TCH increased by 1.32%... On the contrary, HAR decreased by 2.05%, HPX decreased by 1.13%, LDG decreased by 1.61%, NLG decreased by 1.97%, NVL decreased by 1.53%, QCG decreased by 2.01%, VRC decreased by 1.14%, KBC, KDH decreased slightly,...

In addition, industry groups such as: raw materials increased by 2.21%, consumer goods and decoration increased by 1.86%, transportation, production materials, utilities, food, beverages and tobacco, and health care increased slightly.

On the other hand, telecommunications decreased by 1.68%, software decreased by 1.26%, energy, insurance, distribution and retail of durable goods decreased slightly.

Notably, many mineral stocks increased quite strongly in this session. On the HOSE floor, FCM and BMC hit the ceiling; on the HNX floor, 3 codes: BKC, KSV, HGM increased to the limit, TVD increased by 4.07%, MDC increased by 5.3%; on the UpCoM floor, the codes: KCB, MGC, AAH, MSR, MTA closed in purple.

* The Vietnamese stock market index fluctuated throughout the session today, VNXALL-Index closed up 3.94 points (+0.19%), at 2,123.83 points. Liquidity in the whole market, with trading volume reaching 476.49 million units, equivalent to trading value reaching 11,735.67 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 197 stocks increasing in price, 79 stocks remaining unchanged and 188 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 229.52 points, up 0.2 points (+0.09%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 39.97 million units transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND642.09 billion. The entire floor had 73 stocks increasing, 56 stocks remaining unchanged and 87 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed up 0.16 points (+0.03%) at 471.89 points. Trading volume reached over 19.66 million units, with a corresponding value of over VND411.04 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 13 stocks increasing, 6 stocks remaining unchanged and 11 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index increased, closing at 97.74 points, up 0.93 points (+0.96%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 56.99 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 723.53 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 171 stocks increasing, 97 stocks remaining unchanged and 116 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 3.44 points (+0.27%) at 1,270.35 points. Liquidity reached over 511.40 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND11,687.64 billion. The entire floor had 210 stocks increasing, 80 stocks remaining unchanged and 229 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 2.10 points (+0.16%) to 1,337.78 points. Liquidity reached more than 165.45 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND5,051.88 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 19 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 8 stocks decreasing.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were VIX (over 17.34 million units), GEX (over 12.70 million units), SHB (over 12.11 million units), TCB (over 11.95 million units), MWG (over 11.35 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increase were SC5 (6.99%), TRC (6.99%), UIC (6.92%), BMC (6.86%), SFG (6.86%).

The five stocks with the biggest price declines were PGI (-6.61%), CVT (-5.69%), TCR (-5.49%), CTF (-3.94%), HVX (-3.75%).

* Today's derivatives market had 182,867 contracts traded, worth VND 24,375.07 billion.
