The exhibition will travel to Asia, and Hanoi is the first city it will visit.

Treasure trove of light and beauty

Viewers get to see some of Italy's most famous and iconic mosaics.

These magnificent and precious works are brought together in a modern digital gallery, creating a visually overwhelming feeling.

In addition to supporting music and commentary on the paintings, information about the works through the equipment provided at the exhibition, brings a complete and very impressive experience to the audience, especially for Vietnamese people who know little about mosaic paintings, as well as the ancient civilizations of Greece and Egypt.

Featuring six themed works, Italy's most famous and iconic mosaics rush past viewers on a journey through this exciting exhibition.

First is the multi-colored mosaic wall with a ship and a lighthouse at the Capiloline Museum, Rome, the most exquisite mosaics of the imperial period, discovered by chance in the late 19th century, first half of the 20th century, when Rome became the capital of Italy, when major excavation campaigns were carried out.

Or the beautiful mosaic, considered one of the oldest and most important mosaics that still exist today, found in the place where the basilica of the cities Cosmas and Damian was formerly located.

The painting commemorates the coming of Christ at the end of time to establish the kingdom of God, known as the Parousia.

Next are the amazing multi-colored mosaics that cover the floor of the Patriarcale di Aquileia Basilica, Aquileia, Italy. The mosaics date back to the 4th century and were discovered by archaeologists in the early 20th century.

With an area of over 760m2 , this is the largest mosaic in the Western Christian world.

Or the magnificent geometric mosaics at the Galla Placidia mausoleum in Ravenna, Italy, a treasure trove of light and beauty.

Ancient Egyptian Girls in Bikinis

Those are also the mosaics at the Palatine Chapel, in Palermo, Italy.

Especially the mosaics of girls in bikinis performing gymnastics in the arenas of ancient Egypt.

And the remaining mosaics at the archaeological site of Balae Bay, Bacoli, Italy.

These are new mosaics found on the seabed in the 1960s. Balae Bay, a popular residential center around the beginning of the Common Era, with its mild climate, beautiful scenery and abundant thermal waters, was a favorite resort destination of the Roman aristocracy until the end of the 3rd century AD.

But since then there has been no trace of this place, at least on land. Due to the phenomenon of slow waves, the shore has become the seabed.

Viewing these works is a breathtaking experience as it feels like diving to the bottom of the ocean, scraping away a thin layer of sand and revealing magnificent mosaics, with blue water and swimming fish.

It feels like we are about to touch the great secrets of history, the brilliant ancient civilizations.

The exhibition is open to visitors from now until April 7, from Tuesday to Sunday every week.

If you want to see the magnificent mosaics in Vietnam in person, you can find them in the reception hall of the Hanoi Opera House.
