Conveying decisions of the National Assembly and People's Council to voters

On the evening of January 5, the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 2nd National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) in 2024 was held at the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi.

This is an important and meaningful event to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024).

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; former National Assembly Chairmen: Nguyen Sinh Hung, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man - Head of the Dien Hong Award Steering Committee attended the award ceremony.

Also attending were members of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, leaders of the Government, National Assembly, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, central and local departments, ministries, branches, etc.

Following the success of the first season, the second Dien Hong Award - 2024 attracted a large number of entries, with 2,679 entries from 138 central and local press agencies.

The works have truly and deeply reflected the innovations in the organization and operation of the National Assembly, the burning issues of life that have been considered, discussed and resolved in the parliament. And conversely, the decisions of the National Assembly and the People's Council have resolved and removed many urgent issues of the country and the people... thereby showing the increasingly important role of the National Assembly in the political, economic and social life of the country.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man praised the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee for proactively implementing the Award in a scientific, methodical, professional and effective manner, with the Award Judging Council consisting of experienced, prestigious, impartial, objective and transparent members; especially the authors of 79 excellent works carefully selected including 7 A prizes; 14 B prizes; 20 C prizes; 38 Encouragement prizes to be honored at the ceremony.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that, inheriting and promoting the glorious tradition of 78 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the 15th National Assembly has been and is continuing to make efforts to innovate, improve the quality of its operations and has achieved many important and comprehensive results in terms of legislation, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country. In localities, the activities of People's Councils at all levels have been increasingly innovated to be more practical and effective.

2024 is a year of special importance in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution on the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025 of the National Assembly.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that press agencies and journalists will continue to promote their sense of responsibility, dedication, love for their profession, trust and affection for the people's representative agencies; proactively propagate and promote comprehensively, promptly and effectively to bring the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws into life; and make increasingly greater contributions to building a more effective and efficient National Assembly and People's Council, worthy of the trust of voters and people.

With the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press, the team of journalists is increasingly mature in political courage, professional ethics, expertise and professionalism; we believe that the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels will continue to receive active support from central and local press agencies.

Journalists will have new research, discoveries and creativity to write about the National Assembly and the People's Council, continuing to affirm their role as a bridge between the "Party's will" and the "people's heart", a forum for people of all walks of life to contribute their enthusiasm and intelligence to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; creating positive spillovers, encouraging the spirit of solidarity, aspiration, self-reliance, self-reliance and creativity among the people to build a prosperous and happy country - the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized.

The organizing committee has selected and awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 agencies and units that have made positive contributions to the success of the second Dien Hong Award.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Party and State leaders awarded 14 B prizes, 20 C prizes, and 38 Consolation prizes to the winning authors.

Launching the third Dien Hong Award - 2025

Announcing the launch of the third Dien Hong Award - 2025, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, Head of the Award Organizing Committee emphasized: Towards celebrating the 79th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam, promoting the results achieved in the previous two seasons, the works participating in the third Dien Hong Award need to closely follow the key tasks, focusing on reflecting and deeply analyzing the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels and elected representatives in the fields of legislation, supervision, deciding on important issues of the country, localities, parliamentary diplomacy and other activities according to the law.

The works contribute to fully conveying the decisions of the National Assembly and People's Councils to voters, strengthening the close and close relationship between elected representatives and voters and people, encouraging the spirit, aspirations, will of self-reliance, self-reliance, and creativity of the people, firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc to bring our country to rapid and sustainable development under the leadership of the Party.
