Attending the handover ceremony were Politburo member, Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, former Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan, leaders of several central ministries and branches and Hanoi.
Established in 1998, Hoa Lac High-Tech Park is an important project to enhance the national science and technology potential, playing a role in promoting the development of science and technology, serving the socio-economic development of the country. When it was formed, this was the first model, unprecedented in Vietnam.
According to Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, after 25 years of formation and development, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has basically established important elements, which are the foundation for successfully building and developing a Hi-Tech Park.
Up to now, this CNC Zone has established a special policy environment, basically completed the construction of a modern infrastructure system, attracted a number of leading domestic and international technology corporations to invest in CNC and advanced technology; started to form a chain of links between training-research-production, established a technology innovation environment with training centers, research and development, and innovation.
Presence of technology universities in the CNC Park such as FPT University, Vietnam-France University, Vietnam-Japan University, Van Lang University ... will promise to train high-quality human resources to serve society in general and directly for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in particular.
Along with that, research institutes and applied research centers directly linked to the production development of enterprises such as V-KIST Institute, Space Center, Institute of Measurement, testing centers ... will be the foundation for developing endogenous research and development capacity, linking research and development with production.
Besides, foreign investors such as Hanwha, Nidec, Nissan Techno..., or large domestic enterprises such as Viettel, FPT, VNPT,... have chosen Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park as a key investment location.
Recently, the National Innovation Center (NIC) was inaugurated and put into operation with the best and most modern infrastructure, which will be a lever to promote innovation at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that the transfer of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park will create favorable conditions for the city to realize the goals set out in Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW dated May 5, 2022 of the Politburo " Promoting research, transfer, application, development of science, technology and innovation; building Hanoi into a leading center of innovation, research, development, and technology transfer in the country and the region with the core being Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park ".
At the same time, receiving Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is an opportunity for Hanoi to promote the role and position of the Capital in implementing the specific and breakthrough regulations on science and technology stipulated in the draft Law on the Capital (amended) being submitted by the Government to the National Assembly at the 6th session, which identifies: Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is a key high-tech research, development and innovation area of the Capital and the whole country and has a number of specific mechanisms for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.
The city will focus on directing the completion of all site clearance work for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in 2024; allocate resources to invest in infrastructure and continue to research and issue specific and outstanding policies and mechanisms to build and develop Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park into the country's core for innovation, research, development, technology transfer and play the role of the core and core area of Hoa Lac urban area in the future.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang emphasized that the transfer is aimed at finding better opportunities for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park to develop in line with world trends and the policies and guidelines of the Party and State.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the transfer demonstrates the Government's increasingly strong decentralization trend to have a more flexible mechanism and more abundant resources (combining central and local resources) for the development of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Hanoi Party Committee, Hanoi People's Committee, relevant ministries and branches to pay attention and create the most favorable conditions for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park to truly be the leading bird in science and technology development of the capital and the whole country./.
