Air Astana plane landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 6:30 a.m. on March 25.
Air Astana is the national airline of Kazakhstan, established in 2001. With nearly 25 years of operation, Air Astana has been honored to receive many prestigious awards in the aviation industry and has been certified 4 stars by Skytrax. Before opening a route to Khanh Hoa, Air Astana had opened a route to Phu Quoc (Kien Giang). The leader of DHT Aviation Company (Air Astana's representative in Vietnam) said that Air Astana operates the Almaty - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 4 flights/week (from March 25) and the Astana - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 3 flights/week (from March 28) using Airbus A321 aircraft.
Kazakhstan tourists fly from Almaty to travel in Khanh Hoa by Air Astana.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kazakhstan is the 4th largest international tourist market of Khanh Hoa tourism industry (after Korea, China, Russia) and has been increasing rapidly in recent times. In 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed 106,594 Kazakhstani tourists. In the first 2 months of 2025 alone, Khanh Hoa welcomed 15,500 Kazakhstani tourists. The opening of commercial flights by Air Astana from Almaty and Astana (the 2 largest cities in Kazakhstan) to Khanh Hoa not only creates opportunities for Kazakhstani tourists to come to Khanh Hoa but also opens up great potential in promoting trade, economic cooperation and cultural exchange between Kazakhstan and Vietnam.

With the participation of Air Astana, there are now 3 airlines operating flights from Kazakhstan to Cam Ranh with a frequency of 14 flights/week. Of which, Air Astana operates 7 flights/week, Vietjet Air operates 5 flights/week and Scat Airlines operates 2 flights/week.
