This morning, January 16, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association of Quang Tri province to organize the program "Happy Tet, Sharing Love" Tet At Ty - 2025. Former member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi; Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung; Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association of Quang Tri province Truong Duc Minh Tu attended and presented gifts.

On this occasion, the program's Organizing Committee presented 450 Tet gifts worth 270 million VND to disadvantaged households, poor households in Trieu Trung, Trieu Tan, Trieu Co communes, Trieu Phong district and families of officers and soldiers of Trieu Van Border Guard Station facing difficult circumstances. In Trieu Trung commune alone, Quang Tri Microbiological Fertilizer Joint Stock Company supported an additional 200 gifts, each containing 10 kg of rice for the people.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony in Trieu Phong district, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi said that the program "Tet sum vay, chia chia yeu thuong" is held annually.

This year, the program was accompanied by officers and reporters from Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Dai Deu Nhan Dan Newspaper, Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, Vingroup Corporation, Military Bank, Him Lam Joint Stock Company, and Quang Tri Microbiological Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.

Although the value of the gift is modest, it is the heart and sharing of journalists and philanthropists hoping to bring warmth to people during the coming Tet holiday. This is a practical activity to open a series of activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21 (1925-2025).

Thanking the program, Vice Chairman of Trieu Phong District People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Vu shared that in recent times, the locality has always been actively interested in and implemented many programs and activities to ensure social security for the people, in which, special attention is paid to the vulnerable, poor households, and families with difficult circumstances in the area. However, due to limited conditions and potential, this work has not yet met the best needs of the people. Therefore, this program has practical meaning, is the sentiment and gratitude that the Vietnam Journalists Association and agencies, units, and philanthropists have for the people in the area, contributing to helping people have a warmer and more complete Tet holiday.

In Hai Son commune, Hai Lang district, the program's organizing committee presented 180 gifts, worth 120 million VND, to families in difficult circumstances. Receiving the meaningful gifts, many people were moved and expressed their deep gratitude to the journalists and sponsoring businesses.

Ms. Tran Thi Hai, 75 years old, in Ha Loc village, Hai Son commune, Hai Lang district happily said: “I am old, in poor health and currently live alone in a small house that has seriously deteriorated. I would like to sincerely thank you for receiving this practical and meaningful gift from the Vietnam Journalists Association and press agencies and businesses. This gift will help me ease my difficulties and welcome the new year with warmth and joy.”

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Program "Happy Tet, Sharing Love" Spring At Ty - 2025 solemnly held a ceremony to pay tribute, offer incense and flowers to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

At the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Memorial, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi and members of the Organizing Committee of the Program "Happy Tet, Sharing Love" Spring At Ty - 2025 expressed gratitude and commemorated the heroic martyrs who fell during the 81-day and night campaign to protect the Ancient Citadel.

The heroic 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Ancient Citadel is an immortal epic, a shining testament to revolutionary heroism with the aspiration for freedom and independence, recording heroic pages in the history of the revolutionary struggle of the Vietnamese people, contributing to the victory of our army and people in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.
