On the morning of April 13, Nhu Xuan district organized the Dinh Thi Festival and received the Certificate of recognition as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nong Quoc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, mountainous districts of Thanh Hoa province, along with a large number of people of Nhu Xuan district and tourists from all over.

Thi Temple was built in the 16th century, in the old Set village - present-day Trung Thanh village, Yen Cat town, Nhu Xuan district. According to historical records, Mr. Le Phuc Thanh was a person who had the merit of following the Lam Son army in the early years of the resistance war (1416-1427). After the victory of the resistance war, he was granted land in Set village (about 16km2 ). At first, Set village had only 13 households and he was the village official who managed this land.
Mr. Le Phuc Thanh had five children, four sons and one daughter. The eldest son was Le Thien Vinh; the second was Le Huu Xa, the third was Le Ba Thieu; the fourth was Le Dinh My and the daughter was Le Thi Don. In the 5th year of Quang Thuan (1464) under King Le Thanh Tong, Mr. Le Phuc Thanh divided the land among his children. The four sons of Mr. Le Phuc Thanh governed four lands of four villages, under the Le Dynasty they were all awarded the title of Quan Lang, all had temples built for them and received royal decrees.
In 1995, Dinh Thi was recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic by the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. In 2024, Dinh Thi Festival was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Decision No. 3998/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024.

Dinh Thi Festival aims to commemorate the merits of our ancestors who built villages, established villages, and preserved and promoted the value of cultural heritage, contributingto educating the traditions of the homeland and the country, awareness of protecting the cultural heritage of the nation; building cultural life in the ethnic communities in the western region of Thanh Hoa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung emphasized: The inclusion of Dinh Thi Festival in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage is a tribute to a cultural heritage with a strong vitality; to the silent and persistent efforts of the community and generations of artisans in preserving, maintaining and promoting the value of the heritage; to promote the responsibility of passing on the heritage between generations and practicing the heritage in today's life. This is also an opportunity for the people of Nhu Xuan district to express their gratitude to their predecessors, who, with their creativity and efforts, have preserved this precious asset, so that it is honored today and will continue to shine tomorrow in the cultural flow of the nation.
To continue to create new vitality and strongly spread the historical and cultural values of Dinh Thi Festival in today's and future life, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee, government and people of Nhu Xuan district to continue to closely coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related units to seriously and effectively implement the work of protecting and promoting the value of the heritage, creating a strong spread of historical and cultural values more widely in the community.
The Party Committee, government and people of Nhu Xuan district need to determine that the preservation and development of Dinh Thi Festival is not only the responsibility of artisans and people in the heritage area, but also the responsibility of the ethnic communities in Nhu Xuan district. Along with that, promote the application of information technology in promoting and widely introducing Dinh Thi Festival in particular and historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in Nhu Xuan district in general so that the whole province and the whole country know more, thereby increasing love and respect for the history - culture, land and people of Nhu Xuan district. Nhu Xuan district needs to closely coordinate with relevant units to continue to turn heritage into assets, turn potential into resources for local economic development, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
