On May 31 in Hanoi, leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held a press conference on the 2024 Peace Festival with many meaningful activities taking place, of which the international music exchange "Melody of Peace" is a key program with profound influence.
This coming July, people across the country as well as many international tourists will head to Quang Tri to watch and participate in activities within the framework of the 2024 Peace Festival.
The festival is considered a typical cultural and diplomatic activity of the year on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement, the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Quang Tri - a heroic land, a witness to history with legendary places such as Khe Sanh, Ta Con, Vay village, Road 9 South Laos, Truong Son cemetery, Quang Tri ancient citadel, Vinh Moc tunnel, ... or the memory of the division of the two parts of the country at the 17th parallel, Hien Luong bridge, Ben Hai river. Although many years have passed, the memory of a heroic time of the nation, where patriots fell, is still intact in the sunny and windy Central region.

Coming to Quang Tri in the atmosphere of the 2024 Peace Festival, people and tourists will have the opportunity to participate in the international music exchange program "Melody of Peace", which conveys the message of peace, freedom and humanity through songs performed by many famous domestic and international artists and foreign art troupes.

The main image of the program is the dove - the bird of peace, along with the image of the earth with the map of Vietnam covering it, especially Quang Tri for the overall layout of the main stage. 3D Mapping technology shows the typical staging intention of each performance, showing the overall landscape and landmarks of Quang Tri, Vietnam. These separate blocks, when completely assembled in the theme song performance, will form the image of Hien Luong bridge - symbolizing the meaning of the message of connection for peace that the people of Quang Tri want to convey to the world.

The International Concert Program "Melody of Peace" will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 20, 2024 at the Cultural - Cinema Center, Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province.
"The highlight of the program is the theme song Melody of Peace with the participation of artists from Korea, USA, Japan, France, Australia, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia... 1001 children from Vietnam and other countries sang together the song Peace in the eyes of children.
In addition, the children will perform a collection of Ao Dai made of recycled materials, environmentally friendly, with images showing the typical cultural colors of 54 ethnic groups, typical cultural and tourist destinations, symbols of 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam and the unique colors of 192 countries having diplomatic relations with Vietnam, along with a performance combining sound, light and new technology art with 1001 Drones will be a spectacular, eye-catching show, creating interesting emotions for viewers in person and online, broadcast live on VTV, Quang Tri Television and more than 35 local stations, we hope to bring an emotional music party with the harmony of high-tech performances of sound, light with wonderful performances by leading Vietnamese and international artists", said Mr. Quang Huy.
