Preparing to open Bachelor of Digital Arts training program in Thai Nguyen

Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, member of the Appraisal Council; members of the Appraisal Council are managers and experts from the Vietnam Cinema Association, Vietnam Television, domestic universities; representatives of business leaders on digital transformation.

At the meeting, the school's leaders reported on the process of developing the training program. Accordingly, the digital art training program under the Faculty of Arts and Communication trains human resources at university and postgraduate levels; short-term training; scientific research and technology transfer to meet the needs of the labor market, in line with the national strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the National Digital Transformation Program. The program is built in an application-oriented manner; training learners with basic knowledge of politics, law, psychology; basic knowledge of fine arts, sculpture, music and communication; specialized knowledge of graphics and digital cinema; skills in using software tools, design thinking skills, production and performance of digital art products; have the ability to be autonomous, adapt to diverse working environments, lifelong learning, have responsibility and professional ethics, have a sense of community service, aim to serve the media and promote the entertainment industry. Trained learners will be able to create digital art products such as videos, TVC advertisements, cartoons, short films and other interactive products for the media... After graduation, bachelors of digital arts can work in the entertainment industry, media, advertising, education and other fields of digital creativity.

Associate Professor, Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association, Chairman of the Appraisal Council spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the Council members highly appreciated the fact that the University of Information and Communication Technology has kept up with the trend of the digital transformation era, opening training majors to meet the growing needs of the market, providing human resources to serve the country's digital economy in the new era. The construction of study programs needs to inherit and promote the advantages of the school as well as be closer to the needs of learners so that immediately after graduation, students can immediately meet the requirements of the large market for digital technology. In addition, it is necessary to supplement training for students with good cultural background knowledge to create products with cultural depth and creative thinking.

As a provincial leader and expert of the Appraisal Council, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung expects that the opening of a new training major in the field of digital technology (Bachelor of Digital Arts) will be the beginning of the strong development of the digital economy in Thai Nguyen province in the coming time. Thai Nguyen province is very interested in developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; the application of digital technology will bring many benefits in socio-economic development. Therefore, the province will allocate investment resources and support facilities for the University of Information and Communications Technology to improve its training capacity in digital technology. The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Drafting Committee to add a number of goals to suit the development needs of the country in the digital age; enrich elective subjects on Vietnamese and world culture and history; Encourage students to study for international certificates to create high-quality human resources to meet diverse market needs; increase practice time for students to approach work early; use open source technologies right from the start of the training program...
