On April 8, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) announced that it will organize the operation of a pair of special trains named "Reunification Trains" specially designed to mark historical events.
Specifically, on the evening of April 29, train SE1 departed from Hanoi station and SE4 departed from Saigon station. The two trains will meet at 12:00 on April 30 at Da Nang station.
At the farewell ceremony on the evening of April 29, VNR prepared surprise gifts for passengers on the two trains. This is not just a normal train trip, but a journey looking back at history, helping passengers understand and appreciate the value of peace today.

The program applies to passengers who purchase train tickets between April 24 and May 9. Tickets will be sold directly at railway stations. Passengers in the above categories must bring confirmation documents when purchasing tickets and when boarding the train.
In particular, from now until the end of the April 30 holiday, when purchasing train tickets, passengers will have the opportunity to join the railway industry in creating a unified train on the internet; each successfully purchased ticket will have a red flag with a yellow star displayed on the ticketing system.
Previously, VNR had organized early ticket sales and added more trains on key routes compared to normal days to meet the increased travel demand of people, ensuring that passengers could easily buy tickets to have a complete holiday.
In addition to the 5 pairs of Thong Nhat passenger trains running daily on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route, there will be 2 more SE9 trains running on April 29 and 30 from Hanoi station to Saigon station.
On the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, in addition to the 4 pairs of trains running daily, there will be additional trains LP10 and HP4 departing from Hai Phong station, and train HD2 departing from Hai Duong station on May 2-4.
In addition, for destinations in the Central region, there will be 4 more trains from Saigon to Da Nang; 8 trains from Saigon to Quy Nhon, 6 trains from Saigon to Nha Trang station, 2 trains from Saigon to Phan Thiet, 2 trains from Hanoi to Da Nang and 4 trains from Hanoi to Dong Hoi.
