Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han directed provincial departments and branches, along with leaders of Vingroup Corporation, to review locations to avoid overlapping with projects that have been approved for investment.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Khac Hiep, Vice Chairman of Vingroup Corporation, presented Vingroup's proposals and presented an overview of the Duyen Hai Wind Power Project - Vingroup.

Mr. Le Khac Hiep, Vice Chairman of Vingroup Corporation, proposed that the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches of Tra Vinh province coordinate with Vingroup Corporation to propose to the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries and central branches to add Duyen Hai Wind Power Project - Vingroup, investment location in Duyen Hai district to the Power Plan VIII (adjusted).

Mr. Le Khac Hiep, Vice President of Vingroup Corporation, spoke about the proposal to implement the Project in Tra Vinh.

The designed capacity of Duyen Hai Wind Power Project - Vingroup is expected to have a total capacity of 3,000 MW, an electricity output of 9,000 million kWh/year, a total investment of 4.5 billion USD (phase 1, capacity 1,500 MW; phase 2 is 1,500 MW), with 500 wind towers and 500 wind turbines, each wind tower has a capacity of 06 MW.

The investor will survey the entire water surface area of ​​approximately 13,434ha of Duyen Hai district's sea area. The total land and water surface area of ​​the factory expected to implement the Project is 05ha; limited-term use and 50ha of water surface.

Comrade Lam Minh Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, directed the sectors and investors to focus on implementing procedures and ensuring progress after receiving approval from the Government and Prime Minister.

After the investor presented the project's expected scale and progress, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and provincial departments and branches gave their opinions on the feasibility and economic efficiency of Tra Vinh after the project was put into operation.

Comrade Pham Van Tam, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade requested investors to continue researching, surveying, and selecting effective locations for project implementation.

Through the opinions of the Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, provincial departments and branches; as well as the proposal of the leaders of Vingroup Corporation, in his concluding remarks, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ngo Chi Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated Vingroup Corporation, which has researched and is enthusiastic about investing in the wind power project in Tra Vinh.

Regarding the policy, Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong acknowledged the proposed contents of Vingroup Corporation. The Provincial Party Secretary directed: the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, provincial departments and branches to coordinate with Vingroup Corporation to soon submit to the Government, Prime Minister, Ministry of Industry and Trade... for the policy of adding Duyen Hai - Vingroup Wind Power Project to the Power Plan VIII (adjusted), in order to help Vingroup Corporation implement the Project.
