Streamlining the apparatus: Need to be alert to distorted arguments

The streamlining of the Party and State apparatus is being carried out vigorously and synchronously. In Thai Nguyen, the streamlining of the apparatus has achieved positive results. However, hostile forces are taking advantage of this to spread propaganda with many dangerous arguments, spreading fake news and untrue information. Therefore, everyone needs to be alert to identify.

The act of reporting and spreading false information on social networks has been resolutely handled by Thai Nguyen Provincial Police in recent times.

Administrative reform is one of the important factors to help improve the efficiency of state management, promote the combined strength of state agencies. At the same time, it reduces unnecessary administrative costs to the lowest level, meeting the aspirations of the people.

The goal of streamlining the organizational apparatus is to focus resources on socio-economic development with the highest goal of serving the people. However, the implementation process can also cause some cadres and party members to have certain concerns.

For hostile forces, sabotage activities, propaganda, distortion, defamation, and discrediting of the Party and State, and inciting opposition activities are not new. At times when the country has major events, they always find ways to take advantage of sabotage to disrupt security and order, such as: COVID-19 prevention activities; anti-corruption work; prevention, response, and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3... and currently the work of streamlining the Party and State apparatus.

This time, the frequency and methods are somewhat stronger as it is right at the time of preparing for party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress. They use distorted arguments such as: Mergers are due to the subjective will of individuals to score points and make an impression, or to eliminate opponents to create factions, for group interests...; after the merger, there will be more central leaders, the budget will be more expensive when paying a large amount of money, eliminating talented people, and then separating after the merger...

The Director of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police has issued a document directing professional departments and commune-level police to monitor and strictly handle citizens in the area if they post false information on social networks, especially on group pages with a large number of followers, about streamlining the apparatus and merging provinces and cities.

Through the review of the police force, a number of cases of posting and sharing of untrue information have been discovered in the province. Specifically, there is currently a policy of merging provinces but there is no decision on how many provinces, but on social networks, there is information about merging into 31, 33, 34 provinces and this province with that province, then discussing regional discrimination causing bad public opinion affecting security and order.

In the most recent case, NVH (born in 1990, residing in Phuc Xuan commune, Thai Nguyen city) posted information about the policy of merging provinces without verification and not in accordance with the law. The police agency invited this person to clarify the matter, conducted a review, warned, and handled according to regulations...

Faced with the sophisticated plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces, people need to be alert, vigilant, and believe in the policies and guidelines of the Party and State. They should not share false information on social networks or information that has not been verified by authorities.

Spreading unverified information can cause confusion and negatively affect the community. If sharing on social networks, you must provide accurate information, avoid sensational news to attract likes, views, and be led by fake information and false news.

Cadres and party members need to set an example in demonstrating their pioneering role in implementing this policy well, demonstrating their mettle and responsibility in the face of change, and contributing to countering the destructive arguments of hostile forces.

In particular, to identify and avoid being affected by toxic information, each cadre and party member needs to equip themselves with certain knowledge, know how to filter information, access official information sources and promptly update information from official sources of the Party and the State. More than ever, cadres and party members must maintain a firm stance, so as not to self-evolve, self-transform, or violate the Party's principles.
