On August 6, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received Mr. Azuma Yoshiro, Chairman of the Japan National Economic Recovery and Development Association (TNG), who came to explore investment opportunities in Quang Ninh.
Introducing the Association, Mr. Azuma Yoshiro emphasized: TNG is an alliance of investors from Japan, including more than 30 parliamentarians, who have invested in many countries around the world with a total capital of about 64 billion USD.
In the new development phase, the Association's orientation will be to promote investment in the Asian region, especially Vietnam - one of the open economies with high growth rates. After conducting a review and survey in Vietnam, the Association hopes to select Quang Ninh province, the most dynamically developing locality in the country, which has been at the top of administrative reform indexes for many years, to conduct research and invest in a number of areas such as transportation, industry, seaports, real estate, environment, etc.
In the immediate future, Mr. Azuma Yoshiro suggested that the province create favorable conditions and introduce the Association to conduct surveys, research, and propose investment ideas. Special attention should be paid to projects already in the province's planning, such as: Road tunnel across Cua Luc Bay; Urban area in the northern area of Cua Luc Bay; Hai Ha port complex and logistics services; Cai Chien deep-water port, etc.
Expressing his joy at welcoming Mr. Azuma Yoshiro and representatives of the TNG Association who chose Quang Ninh to research and implement new investment plans, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Quang Ninh will create the best conditions for investors to come to the province.
Introducing the attractive investment environment, he emphasized: With a modern administration, synchronous investment infrastructure, leading competitiveness in the country, sustainable administrative management... Quang Ninh is one of the attractive investment destinations for strategic investors, especially Japan. Currently, there are 20 countries investing, doing business and developing in the province with a total investment capital of more than 14 billion USD. Of which, there are more than 10 projects of investors from Japan.
In the spirit of cooperation, Quang Ninh will create the most favorable conditions for administrative procedures, land, site clearance, providing convenient public services, and an open, favorable, equal, and transparent investment and business environment for investors to succeed and sustainably invest in the province in the long term.
Regarding the specific investment projects proposed by the Association, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that these are projects that are meaningful for the synchronous development of infrastructure, in line with the province's strategy. The goal is that by 2030, Quang Ninh will meet the criteria of a centrally-run city, so at this stage, the need for investment capital is very high, especially FDI capital.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Mr. Azuma Yoshiro and investors from the TNG Association will coordinate and organize a conference to promote Japanese investment in Quang Ninh in the fourth quarter of 2024, and soon implement new development ideas. Quang Ninh is also studying investment in industrial parks and urban areas exclusively for investors from Japan, ensuring the best conditions for investors to develop sustainably in the province.
