According to the report on preparations for the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference presented by Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha, as of August 28, 64 delegations had registered to attend the conference with 244 people, including 172 parliamentarians, 72 assistants, secretaries...
Speaking at the conference, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians' Conference is an important multilateral foreign affairs activity, the only one hosted by our National Assembly this year. This is a very valuable opportunity to promote the country, people of Vietnam and the achievements that Vietnam has achieved to international friends. The scope is a conference of young parliamentarians, but the nature is global, so the leaders of the Party, State and ministries and branches are very interested.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sincerely thanked the attention, enthusiastic participation, responsibility and effectiveness of the central ministries, branches and some directly related localities such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh; the support of enterprises; the initiative of the Vietnam Young National Assembly Delegates Group. The conference organizing committee has worked at full capacity and with high responsibility.
Thanks to that, a large amount of work has been completed for this very important event. The National Assembly Chairman expressed his belief that the conference will be a great success, attracting a record number of delegates during the 9 times the conference has been held.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue suggested that the Subcommittees and the Organizing Committee study and absorb the opinions expressed at the meeting to complete the preparation stage; in which, the Content Subcommittee continues to complete the detailed scenarios of each event, each session, duration, and content of the speeches; carefully review each content; need to have backup plans for each situation to avoid being passive.
Emphasizing that from now until mid-September - when the Global Young Parliamentarians Conference takes place - there are still many activities and current events, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested that the Subcommittees, relevant agencies and organizations focus and arrange reasonable time to complete all preparations with the highest quality, ensuring smooth connection between the focal points.
The National Assembly Chairman noted that relevant agencies continue to focus on communication work, ensuring the spread of the event, logistics, healthcare, food hygiene and safety, security, safety, etc.
The 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians in Hanoi will take place from September 14 to 18, 2023 with the theme "The role of youth in promoting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals through digital transformation and innovation".
Following the successful hosting of the 132nd IPU General Assembly (2015), the 26th APPF Meeting (2016) and the 41st AIPA General Assembly (2020), hosting this Conference contributes to affirming Vietnam's active, responsible and proactive participation in the IPU - the world's largest inter-parliamentary organization; at the same time, it shows Vietnam's attention and concern for youth and current global issues of youth.
