For over 15 years, Ms. Phan Thi Xuan in Duy Son commune has been attached to the Nhat Tuan broom production facility, now the Nhat Tuan Agricultural - Commercial Cooperative. Previously, Ms. Xuan's family was a poor household, but since working at the cooperative, the family economy has improved significantly. "The job here is quite suitable, my monthly income is more than 6 million VND, enough to cover my living expenses" - Ms. Xuan shared. Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tuan - Director of Nhat Tuan Agricultural - Commercial Cooperative said that in October 2019, the unit was officially established with 7 members and a charter capital of more than 1 billion VND. Currently, the cooperative produces an average of more than 1,000 brooms of all kinds every day, which are popular with many customers because of their guaranteed quality and affordable prices of 30,000 - 50,000 VND/product.

The Cooperative's brooms are consumed in Quang Nam, Da Nang, the northern provinces and exported abroad. It is estimated that in 2024 alone, the Cooperative's revenue will reach more than 2.8 billion VND; creating stable jobs for 25 local workers with an income of 5-7 million VND/person/month. The Cooperative's difficulty is that it used to get raw materials from the mountainous districts of Bac Tra My, Phuoc Son, Nam Giang, Dong Giang, but now the raw materials must be imported from Laos.

To maintain and promote the effectiveness of the broom cooperative model, support from all levels and sectors is needed to improve productivity and help workers increase their income. The cooperative also wishes to participate in many trade connection programs and expand the consumption market.

Mr. Doan Cong Van - Chairman of Duy Trinh Commune People's Committee said that the brooms of Nhat Tuan Agricultural - Commercial Cooperative have been ranked 3 stars OCOP provincial level and are aiming for 4 stars. The local government has gradually built a brand for broom products, contributing to increasing the value and income for people. "We will focus on building brands, trademarks, packaging, and designs associated with promoting and developing the market for broom products" - Mr. Van said.
