Thai Ba Dat (PVF-CAND Club), Nguyen Huu Tuan and Nguyen Dang Duong (Viettel Club) are three new 18-year-old players who have just won the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship in Thailand. They are all potential players, developing well in both technique and tactical thinking, and have left a clear mark. For example, Ba Dat's cool final penalty shot extinguished the ambitions of U.23 Indonesia in the final match. Or Dang Duong's smart dribbling and skillful handling or Huu Tuan's lightning-fast kicks, of which the beautiful goal against the Philippines is a testament.
Thai Ba Dat, the U.23 Southeast Asian champion, will take the field this afternoon.
They are not on the list for ASIAD 19 not because they are not strong enough to compete with others. In the context of Vietnamese football having many new faces after the talented generation such as Cong Phuong, Quang Hai, Hoang Duc..., from Mr. Troussier to coach Hoang Anh Tuan, they all share the same view that we must challenge the players as much as possible.

Thai Ba Dat, in the role of central midfielder, will lead the play of U.21 Viettel against the ambitious co-host Thanh Hoa with names that are not inferior to them such as Nguyen Ngoc My, Ha Minh Duc, Cam Ba Thanh, Nguyen Cong Son.
The attacking duo Dang Duong - Huu Tuan will have more opportunities when meeting the "dark horse" Tay Ninh. Both are also supported by another young talent, Cong Phuong, 17 years old, who has just been sent back by coach Hoang Anh Tuan for the next training sessions. They will be able to dominate when they have experienced seniors such as Van Tu, Thanh An, Tuan Phong, Ngoc Tu to add strength to U.21 Viettel.
