Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry has announced to all employees, workers, students and pupils of the whole school about the holiday schedule for the National Reunification Day on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1. Accordingly, employees and pupils will be able to switch working days from May 2 to April 26. Thus, on this holiday, employees, workers, pupils and pupils will have 5 consecutive days off from April 30 to May 4 (working on April 26 to make up for it).

The University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) also announced that the entire school will be off from April 30 to May 4. During this holiday, staff, lecturers and students of the entire school will have 5 consecutive days off. "Teachers can arrange to make up for classes on May 2 and 3, and can teach online," the school's announcement noted.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance also gave students 5 days off from April 30 to May 4. From May 5, all staff, lecturers, employees and students of the school will return to work and study as planned.

The announcement from Van Hien University also stated that students will have 5 days off. From May 5, students will return to study and take final exams according to the schedule.

Some other universities also announced that students will have 5 consecutive days off at the same time, such as: Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Saigon University of Technology...

Different from the above schedule, Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City announced a 2-day holiday, from April 30 to May 1. From May 2, all staff, lecturers, employees and students will return to work and study as planned.

Previously, the Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Ministry of Home Affairs) on the holiday schedule for National Reunification Day, April 30, and International Labor Day, May 1. Specifically, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 5 days off, lasting from April 30 to May 4 (the working day Friday, May 2, has been swapped to Saturday, April 26).

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Ho Chi Minh City will organize many meaningful activities. Notably, the celebration will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30 on Le Duan Street (District 1) at the main stage in front of the Reunification Hall. The parade and march will take place at the same time, starting from the Nguyen Binh Khiem intersection and moving across the main stage in front of the Reunification Hall.
