"To do this, there needs to be an "integration" and "convergence" in both the content and publishing form of a newspaper, accordingly the "digital newsroom" model becomes an inevitable trend for world press agencies in general, and Vietnamese press agencies in particular," Mr. Le Quoc Minh affirmed.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, commented that technology convergence and content convergence have been formed and are developing strongly and will be an inevitable trend.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that building a digital newsroom will completely change the face of the press industry, especially continuing to innovate strongly, drastically, and more closely following the practical situation; proactively grasping events, promptly informing, and orienting public opinion to ensure objectivity, accuracy, and focus. The digital newsroom is also a premise to continue to strictly implement the principle of a single focal point in directing and orienting information, ensuring the direction and provision of unified, timely, and convincing information, especially on important, complex, and sensitive issues, so that the mainstream press can maintain its role in guiding and dominating information in society.

From traditional newsroom to converged newsroom and now transforming into digital newsroom
Along with the explosive development of technology, the development of journalism has also been a turning point not only in the type of journalism but also in the journalism process, organizational structure and the way of conveying content to readers. In this inevitable trend, many newsrooms have transformed from traditional newsrooms to converged newsrooms and are now in the process of transforming into digital newsrooms.
Journalist Le Xuan Trung presents solutions for implementing digital newsrooms.
Talking about the practice of transforming the newsroom model, journalist Le Xuan Trung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper shared that in order to produce new types of journalism, many newsrooms have organized according to the converged newsroom model, from converging resources to converging processes to be able to control content from input to output in a smooth and consistent manner.
This model has the advantage of meeting the requirements of multimedia production, especially for electronic newspapers, but at the same time it also increases the workload while the human resources cannot be expanded accordingly because it will increase costs. Everyone in the newsroom feels the pressure increasing, being caught up in the flow of news too quickly, too much.
So how do you ensure the productivity of your newsroom stays focused without increasing the pressure on your team?
According to journalist Le Xuan Trung, the most feasible solution is for the newsroom to maximize the application of technology along with optimizing the apparatus, changing the operating process, and publishing products. That means the newsroom must digitally transform to suit the goals and development strategies of the press agencies.
"At that time, the newsroom will converge and develop into a digital newsroom to ensure the promotion of available resources but redesigned more systematically and effectively. The digital newsroom needs to connect and maximize 3 main axes: Digital content development center; Digital content data module; User data module", journalist Le Xuan Trung emphasized.
Regarding the digital newsroom and multi-platform content distribution at Voice of Vietnam, Dr. Dong Manh Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Journalists' Association, Head of the Editorial Secretariat, Voice of Vietnam said that with 4 types of journalism: radio, television, print and electronic newspapers, Voice of Vietnam soon formed a digital newsroom model and organized content direction activities in the direction of a digital newsroom.

We save on people, time for meetings, calls...", said Dr. Dong Manh Hung.
Regarding multi-platform distribution at Voice of Vietnam, Dr. Dong Manh Hung shared that the content ecosystem of Voice of Vietnam is formed by components such as traditional radio and television channels, print newspapers, electronic newspapers/General applications (apps) of the Station/Websites, electronic information pages, fanpages, podcasts, Youtube of the units.

Testing the application of AI in the production of news and TV programs, journalist Ngo Tran Thinh commented that this is a tool to start work easily and is a great suggestion for each topic, but it cannot work by itself and bring good results without human participation.
Recently, HTV Television has produced a short news segment with the appearance of an AI-generated MC and a real MC's voiceover. According to journalist Ngo Tran Thinh, this is a new step in testing the application of modern technology to a television station that has always been considered traditional and difficult to change.
"The news led by MC AI has received much attention from the audience and created excitement for technology lovers and praise from experts. Through this, viewers are gradually getting acquainted with a virtual MC and accepting that this is a step forward in technology for the field of visual media journalism MC AI", journalist Ngo Tran Thinh commented.
