(Dan Tri) - After the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in early 2025, Vinh Phuc province will have 88 communes, 15 wards and 18 towns. This province has 7 districts and 2 cities (Phuc Yen and Vinh Yen).


According to information from the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province, the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Vinh Phuc province for the 2023-2025 period will take effect from January 1, 2025.

Specifically, Phuc Yen city will establish Hai Ba Trung ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Trung Trac ward and Trung Nhi ward.

Hai Ba Trung Ward will have a natural area of ​​2.7km2 and a population of 21,156 people.

After the arrangement, Phuc Yen city has 9 commune-level administrative units (7 wards and 2 communes).

Vinh Tuong district will establish Sao Dai Viet commune on the basis of merging the entire Viet Xuan commune, Bo Sao commune and Cao Dai commune. After establishment, Sao Dai Viet commune has a natural area of ​​11.3km2 and a population of 15,408 people.

Merge the entire Tan Tien commune into Dai Dong commune, named Dai Dong commune with a natural area of ​​8.2km2 and a population of 19,826 people.

Establish An Nhan commune on the basis of merging the entire Ly Nhan commune and An Tuong commune; natural area is 8.3km2 and population size is 17,092 people.

Establish Luong Dien commune on the basis of merging the entire Van Xuan commune and Binh Duong commune; natural area of ​​10.9km2, population of 22,435 people.

Establish Vinh Phu commune on the basis of merging the entire Vinh Ninh commune and Phu Da commune, with a natural area of ​​11.10 km2 and a population of 11,783 people.

Merge the entire Vinh Son commune into Tho Tang town to increase the natural area to 8.6km2 and the population to 24,989 people.

Tam Phuc commune is merged into Vinh Tuong town, with a natural area of ​​6.5km2 and a population of 12,289 people.

After the arrangement, Vinh Tuong district has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 17 communes and 3 towns.

Song Lo district will merge the entire commune of Nhao Son and commune of Nhu Thuy into Tam Son town, with a natural area of ​​12.4 square kilometers and a population of 13,613 people.

Merge the entire Bach Luu commune into Hai Luu commune, natural area 16.5km2, population 11,303 people.

When completed, Song Lo district will have 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 1 town.

Yen Lac district will merge Hong Phuong commune into Hong Chau commune, with a total natural area of ​​8.4km2 and a population of 13,630 people.

Thus, Yen Lac district will have 16 commune-level administrative units, including 14 communes and 2 towns.

Lap Thach district established Tay Son commune on the basis of merging the entire Dinh Chu commune and Trieu De commune, with a natural area of ​​10.10 km2 and a population of 14,757 people.

After the arrangement, Lap Thach district has 19 commune-level administrative units, including 17 communes and 2 towns.

Tam Duong district established Hoi Thinh commune on the basis of merging the entire Van Hoi commune and Hop Thinh commune, with a natural area of ​​8.4 km2 and a population of 15,480 people.

At that time, Tam Duong district will have 12 commune-level administrative units, including 10 communes and 2 towns.

After completing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units as above, Vinh Phuc province will have 9 district-level administrative units (7 districts including Binh Xuyen, Lap Thach, Song Lo, Tam Duong, Tam Dao, Yen Lac, Vinh Tuong and 2 cities: Phuc Yen, Vinh Yen); 121 commune-level administrative units (88 communes, 15 wards and 18 towns).
