Hoc Mon District Police, Ho Chi Minh City are investigating the cause of the fierce fire at a leather shoe factory on the evening of January 30 (the second day of Tet).
At 7 p.m. the same day, a fire broke out at a leather shoe factory in alley Tan Xuan 2, Tan Xuan commune, Hoc Mon district. At that time, many people shouted to each other to use fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.
Because the leather shoe factory had many flammable materials, the fire quickly spread fiercely.
Hoc Mon District Fire Police were dispatched to the scene. The authorities then divided into several groups to approach and use water cannons to control the fire after more than 30 minutes.
Authorities are clarifying the cause of the fire and calculating the damage.
