At 11:30 p.m. on March 17, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police continued to coordinate with related units to investigate the cause of the Thanh Da market fire.
The fire burned down about seven kiosks.
Initial information, at more than 10 pm on the same day, fire suddenly broke out from many kiosks selling plastic goods, food, household goods, books and newspapers... in Thanh Da market, ward 27, Binh Thanh district. At that time, the stalls were closed.
PC07 quickly mobilized forces to the scene.
The market is located in the middle of Thanh Da residential area, opposite the ward police headquarters and Ward 27 People's Committee, so the authorities quickly approached but the fire spread too quickly.
PC07 then dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
Police arrived at the scene.
After 1 hour, the fire was basically under control. Initial assessment determined that the fire burned down about 7 kiosks, causing no human casualties.
Police put out the fire in about an hour.
Many people gathered to watch the incident.
Police sprayed water to cool and prevent the fire from spreading.
The burned area is the kiosks located next to Thanh Da market, which usually sells decorations, books and newspapers and serves rice.
The electric force was also present.
