Approval of investment policy for 110kV Truong Hai transformer station project and connection

The 110kV Truong Hai substation project and connection are built in Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district. The project scale includes 1 110kV substation with a capacity of 2x63MVA; 110kV line with 2 overhead circuits, relay connection on the existing 110kV Doc Soi - Tam Anh line; 5 22kV overhead line outputs connected to the existing grid with a total length of 5.2km.

The project aims to meet the rapidly increasing load demand in Nui Thanh district, especially industrial production customers in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park; coordinate, support and reserve capacity with 110kV substations in the area, ensure stable supply, contribute to improving the reliability and safety of power supply, reduce power loss for the regional grid; gradually complete the 110kV grid diagram according to the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

The project has a total estimated investment of VND 99.2 billion, using commercial loans and counterpart capital from EVNCPC.

Thus, after 9 months from the date of submitting the proposal and explaining, supplementing and completing the necessary data and procedures, the 110kV Truong Hai substation project and connection has been approved for investment policy. This is the first power grid project to be approved for investment policy by the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Quang Nam province according to the Investment Law 2020.

The Central Power Grid Project Management Board - the unit managing and operating this project - said that construction is expected to start in the second half of 2024 and complete energization in 2025.
