Chu Lai 110kV transformer station project granted investment registration certificate

The Chu Lai 110kV Substation and Connection Project is built at Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park Phase 2 (Tam Hiep Commune, Nui Thanh, Quang Nam).

The project has a construction scale of: 1 110kV substation with a capacity of 2 x 63MVA and a 110kV 2-circuit line, connecting to the existing 110kV Doc Soi - Tam Anh line with a line length of about 1.12km.

The project aims to meet the power supply for new loads in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Nui Thanh District in particular and Quang Nam Province in general. In addition, the project also ensures power supply for SGI Vina Company Limited; creates a loop connecting 22kV feeders receiving power from other 110kV substations in the area, contributing to improving the reliability of power supply to Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park; gradually completing the 110kV power grid diagram according to the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. The project has a total estimated investment of VND 97.46 billion, using commercial loans and counterpart capital from the Central Power Corporation EVNCPC.

The project was assigned by EVNCPC to the Central Power Grid Project Management Board (CPCNPMU) for management and operation. The biggest difficulty and obstacle affecting the progress of the project has been resolved, which is the procedure for re-leasing the land for the construction of the 110kV transformer station, which was previously assigned to SGI Vina Company Limited from Chu Lai Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Company Limited. Up to now, the project has been granted an investment registration certificate as a result of the attention and support of the Provincial People's Committee, the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Quang Nam Province and related units; the continuous efforts of the CPCNPMU, the close direction of EVNCPC, especially the timely and effective support and companionship of Quang Nam Power Company.

According to CPCNPMU, the Chu Lai 110kV substation and connection project is expected to be approved for construction investment in 2024, and completed in the second quarter of 2026.
