Industrial development potential

Located in the southernmost part of Binh Thuan province and a purely agricultural commune with more than 80% of households working in agriculture, however, Tan Duc does not hold many advantages to develop diverse products, bringing high economic efficiency in this field. Instead, in recent times, Tan Duc commune in particular and Ham Tan district in general have shown their potential and advantages in industry, from which they can create a breakthrough for the locality to rise to its full potential... In Tan Duc commune, the project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure of Tan Duc Industrial Park, Ham Tan district (Tan Duc Industrial Park project) was approved by the Prime Minister in 2021. Immediately after that, this project with a scale of 300 hectares and a total investment of 1,200 billion VND was also granted an investment registration certificate by the Binh Thuan Industrial Park Management Board to Sonadezi Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company.

To implement, the project investor - Sonadezi Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company has promoted the implementation of related tasks, started construction of basic technical infrastructure of the Industrial Park and closely followed the progress as required. At the same time, it said that it is currently focusing on human resources, machinery, equipment and mechanical vehicles to urgently construct the infrastructure of the Industrial Park. In addition, it is actively coordinating with the People's Committee of Ham Tan district to speed up the compensation and site clearance of the remaining land area as well as preparing the site and the main road, the traffic intersection connecting from National Highway 1A to the Industrial Park. Thereby, striving to ensure the progress of the inauguration of Tan Duc Industrial Park in April 2025 according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province...

According to the investment objective, Tan Duc Industrial Park is formed as a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park, attracting industries that use modern technology, thoroughly treat waste and do not pollute the environment. The focus is on the following types of industries: Textile and garment production, mechanical equipment and machinery production, construction materials, electronics, mechanics, pharmaceuticals, food, consumer goods production or some industries according to current regulations... For Tan Duc Industrial Park, it is known that the investor also wishes to cooperate long-term with Binh Thuan through investment in expanding the scale of the project (phase 2) and accompanying the locality in implementing green and sustainable growth goals.

Economic expectations rise

Although still in the stage of technical infrastructure construction, Tan Duc Industrial Park has attracted the first secondary project and was granted an Investment Registration Certificate by the competent authority in the last quarter of last year. That is the factory producing flooring and natural wood furniture products of Aurawood Binh Thuan Company Limited with a registered investment capital of more than 100 billion VND. It is known that this factory has a capacity of 50,000 m2 of flooring wood and 6,000 m3 of various types of wood/year, and is expected to complete and put into production and business of the entire project in early 2026.

Through monitoring the implementation of this project, the Management Board of Binh Thuan Industrial Parks informed that the investor of Tan Duc Industrial Park infrastructure has also signed land lease agreements with 4 projects with a total registered capital of nearly a thousand billion VND. Thus, up to now, Sonadezi Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company has signed a land lease agreement for nearly 24 hectares, and is continuing to work with customers who have come to survey Tan Duc Industrial Park to be able to promote the signing of agreements... Recently in March 2025, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy inspected the implementation of work related to Tan Duc Industrial Park in Ham Tan district. After inspecting the site and listening to the report on the project implementation, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the investor, relevant departments, units and localities to promptly coordinate and find solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for Tan Duc Industrial Park. Along with that, speed up the construction progress of project items to ensure conditions for organizing the inauguration ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan province in the coming April...

With this project with many expectations, Mr. Ly Quang Can - Chairman of Tan Duc Commune People's Committee (Ham Tan District) said that in the past time, the locality has focused on propaganda, mobilization and the majority of people agreed on the investment policy of Tan Duc Industrial Park. Because this is a difficult area in agricultural development, only industrial investment can contribute to the gradual development of the economy of Tan Duc Commune and the whole South Binh Thuan region... In the immediate future, when this Industrial Park is invested in basic infrastructure, it will be ready to attract secondary projects to come into operation soon and create job opportunities for many workers in the commune and surrounding areas. And at that time, Tan Duc Industrial Park - one of the largest industrial parks in the province will contribute to the local budget, helping people here to have suitable jobs with stable income without having to worry about working far from home like before.
