TPO - On the afternoon of October 20, at the Presidential Palace, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Nguyen Doan Anh was presented with a decision to promote his military rank from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General by General Secretary and President To Lam.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh was born in 1967; hometown is An Thuong commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi city; admitted to the Party in April 1987. Political theory level: Senior. Professional level: University, Command - General Staff of combined arms; senior military major.

During his working period from 2011 to 2021, he was Deputy Commander of the Capital Command; Commander of the Capital Command; Commander of Military Region 4; and a delegate of the 14th National Assembly. In June 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
On January 30, 2021, at the 13th National Congress of the Party, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
From November 2022 to present, he has held the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
On October 20, 2024, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Nguyen Doan Anh was presented with a decision to promote to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General by General Secretary and President To Lam.
