Judging 'My Tet Moment': Surprised with many unique ways to celebrate Tet

The articles are genuine and meaningful sharing of emotions about ideal destinations, unique lands, personal memories and experiences related to the Tet holiday trip, also have some unique and profound features.

Besides, some works also inspire by spreading positive messages about frugal, civilized lifestyle and solidarity.

Judge, writer Nguyen Truong Quy commented that the contest had many good articles, good writing style, and well-rounded stories.

As one of the four judges of the contest (along with Deputy Secretary General of Tuoi Tre Newspaper - Truong Bao Chau and journalist Huy Tho, Deputy Director of Tuoi Tre Newspaper Media Center), writer Huynh Trong Khang also said that the quality of this year's entries was even. The judges relied on a number of specific criteria to select outstanding entries.

According to Mr. Khang, the articles show that each individual’s Tet moments are multifaceted. Some people enjoy the Tet atmosphere with their families, others spend time contemplating life, serving society, or trying new things to enjoy Tet more fully.

"There are articles whose writing style is not necessarily good, but the stories create emotions and open up new perspectives for readers," he said.

After many rounds of selection and scoring, the contest organizers decided to award 1 first prize (15 million VND in cash and gifts), 2 second prizes (7 million VND and gifts), 3 third prizes (5 million VND and gifts), and 10 additional consolation prizes (1 million VND and gifts). The total prize value is 54 million VND.

The award ceremony of the writing contest "My Tet Moment" with the companionship of HDBank will take place on March 24, Ho Chi Minh City.
