IPPG CEO receives 'Outstanding Female Entrepreneur of Ho Chi Minh City 2024' award

Ms. Le Hong Thuy Tien - CEO of IPPG - and seven other people were honored as "Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs of Ho Chi Minh City 2024", March 22

The ceremony honoring the theme "When roses turn into diamonds" took place in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of former Vice President Truong My Hoa, Mr. Phan Van Mai - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Chairwoman of Vietnam Women's Union.

After more than 5 months of reviewing documents and many rounds of direct interviews, the review board found eight outstanding female entrepreneurs including: Ms. Le Hong Thuy Tien - CEO of Inter-Pacific Import-Export Company Limited (IPPG), Ms. Vuong Ngoc Bich - Director of An Huy BT; Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Hoa - CEO of Asia Dragon, Ms. Tran Thi Le - CEO of Nutifood, Ms. Dang Thi Uyen Linh - Director of Trung Minh Thanh, Ms. Nhan Huc Quan - CEO of New Toyo, Ms. Vuu Le Quyen - CEO of Binh Tien, Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh - CEO of Talentnet.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai said that the development path of female entrepreneurs is not only full of roses but also full of thorns. The award is one of the patriotic emulation activities of Ho Chi Minh City.

"In the coming time, this award will be an important channel, not only to encourage female entrepreneurs, but also to promote entrepreneurs to compete and contribute to the development of Ho Chi Minh City," said Mr. Mai.

Ms. Thuy Tien is one of the pioneers in the retail industry, shaping the high-end fashion industry in Vietnam. She developed the group with 17 subsidiaries, 18 joint ventures, investing in a chain of 1,200 retail stores for fashion, jewelry, cosmetics, watches, cuisine, high-end shopping centers, duty-free stores, non-aviation services, AI education, duty-free zones, investing and operating international airport terminals...

Businesswoman Thuy Tien said she always applies creative solutions to complete many strategies, increasing IPPG's presence in the retail industry in both Vietnam and Asia.

She also focuses on social work, demonstrating corporate responsibility to the community, typically promoting gender equality and career development for women in remote areas.

CEO Thuy Tien was invited to be a speaker and speak at major forums in Asia and the world, receiving many awards at home and abroad such as: Top 500 people shaping the global fashion industry by BOF, knighthood awarded by the President of Italy, Asian businesswoman, third-class labor medal.
