In recent days, some scammers have impersonated electricity employees and used their personal mobile phones to call and ask electricity customers to pay their electricity bills by transferring money to their personal accounts. When customers refused, these scammers immediately became rude, used rude words and threatened to cut off the customers' electricity.
EVNNPC affirms that the electricity industry absolutely does not use personal accounts to collect electricity bills. At the same time, electricity employees when communicating with customers must comply with customer care procedures, and must not have a rude or impolite attitude.
In order to prevent impersonation, fraud, and insulting customers that affect the reputation of the electricity industry, EVNNPC recommends that electricity customers be vigilant, not provide personal information, and not pay electricity bills into unverified bank accounts.
At the same time, it is recommended that when receiving a call, suspecting impersonation of an Electricity industry employee, electricity customers should notify the Customer Care Center at phone number: 19006769 for advice and support (Phone operators are available 24/7).
