Intensive training on speaking and providing information to the press of the Ministry of Industry and Trade

Pursuant to Decision No. 505/QD-BCT dated March 12, 2024 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the assignment of the Plan for training and fostering cadres, civil servants and public employees in 2024, the Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a specialized training conference on communication work, speaking and providing information to the press at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2024 for leaders and officers in charge of information and propaganda work at specialized units under the Ministry and at a number of corporations, general companies, institutes and universities under the Ministry. The organization of the conference aims to strengthen and improve the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work, especially policy communication.

The training program focuses on the following contents: Skills in communication work and handling communication crises; instructions on writing articles on approaches and content of articles on Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against false and hostile arguments in the Industry and Trade sector; applying AI in multimedia operations; speaking and providing information to the press of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Ngo Quang Long - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - said that in modern society, the press has an increasingly important role and position, making great contributions to the country's socio-economic development. In any state management activity, especially the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws, communication and press work is always considered the top priority task that all levels and sectors must pay attention to.

"For the Ministry of Industry and Trade, it is a multi-sector, multi-sector management ministry of the economy, so information about the Ministry always receives special attention from public opinion and media agencies and the press. It can be said that the media and press activities in recent times have provided very practical support, making an important contribution to supporting the Industry and Trade sector to complete and excellently complete assigned tasks," Mr. Ngo Quang Long emphasized.

The training was attended by 200 leaders and officers in charge of information and propaganda work at specialized units under the Ministry and at a number of corporations, general companies, institutes and universities under the Ministry.

With many important contents, the training conference is an opportunity to foster, equip, and supplement information and knowledge about new regulations of the State related to communication and speaking work, providing information to the press; at the same time, it is a forum for trainees to exchange, discuss, and share experiences to solve situations and problems in the actual work of each agency and unit; thereby, helping to raise awareness, consciousness, responsibility and specific knowledge and skills for cadres, civil servants, and public employees of units under and directly under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, meeting the requirements of work tasks in the coming time.
