Speaking at the award ceremony, MSc. Dr. Nghiem Tran Dung said that over the past 8 years, VNVC has deployed millions of doses of safe measles vaccine, protecting the health of millions of children and adults. However, with the difficulties of vaccination after the Covid-19 pandemic, it is possible that a large number of children and adults have not been fully vaccinated in both the expanded immunization program and service vaccination. This could also be one of the reasons why measles this year has many severe cases, complicated developments, and the risk of an outbreak like the current epidemic.
Currently, VNVC has nearly 220 vaccination centers nationwide with more than 4,000 vaccination lines. However, to create rapid vaccine coverage, coordination between the VNVC Vaccination System and the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) of localities is essential. Therefore, as soon as the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Health to urgently accelerate the vaccination of disease prevention vaccines, VNVC was ready to contribute and donate a large number of measles vaccines to support localities with the Ministry of Health to promptly vaccinate and prevent diseases for the community.
“This activity not only demonstrates our social responsibility, but also our commitment to join hands to repel the epidemic, protect the health of millions of Vietnamese children and families in many different ways. Previously, in September 2024, thousands of doctors and staff of VNVC participated in the Measles Vaccination Campaign organized by Ho Chi Minh City, contributing facilities, medical supplies, and mobilizing staff to join the City's medical forces to vaccinate against measles,” shared Master, Doctor Dung.

At the event, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, thanked the VNVC Vaccination System for its support. She said: “Providing a large number of vaccines in a very short time is a challenge for the Ministry of Health. In that context, the Ministry of Health has received valuable and timely support of 500,000 doses of measles vaccine from VNVC. This amount of vaccine can be delivered immediately to localities, contributing to accelerating the implementation of the measles vaccination campaign in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister”.
On the same day, the VNVC Vaccination System also launched the nationwide campaign "Joining hands to prevent measles" to actively respond to the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Health. The campaign will have many meaningful activities to raise public awareness of measles such as online seminars and exchanges to promptly answer people's questions about measles and measles epidemics, while strengthening communication and mobilizing people to implement measures to prevent and control measles, promptly vaccinate children and adults fully and on schedule according to the instructions of the health sector.
In particular, VNVC has also promptly introduced policies to support people in getting measles vaccinations at low cost, paying later through an interest-free installment program with a term of up to 12 months, helping families in difficult circumstances to still be able to get their children and family members vaccinated against the disease.
Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of VNVC Vaccination System, said that currently, VNVC provides a full range of measles vaccines for children from 6 months old and adults nationwide, including MVVAC (Vietnam), Priorix (Belgium), MMR-II (USA). In which, MVVAC is a single measles vaccine. MMR-II and Priorix are combination vaccines that prevent 3 diseases: measles - mumps - rubella in the same injection, improving disease prevention efficiency and saving vaccination costs.
“In epidemic and high-risk areas, children vaccinated against measles from 6 months to under 9 months old are considered measles dose 0. After that, at 9 months old, children need to continue to be vaccinated according to the regular vaccination regimen,” added Dr. Bach Thi Chinh.

In addition, VNVC also strives to fully supply other vaccines for children and adults in the context of complicated epidemic developments such as influenza vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine to prevent pneumonia, meningitis, sepsis, meningococcal group B vaccine, ACYW, dengue fever vaccine, shingles vaccine, etc.
In particular, VNVC always strives to implement many incentive programs and financial support to help people, especially families in difficult circumstances and remote areas, have easier access to high-quality vaccines and effective disease prevention through incentive programs, "vaccinate first, pay later" programs, 100% of interest is paid by VNVC on behalf of customers.
